The underframe and mechanism are held in place by hooks attached to the windows. Spread the body. Slide a round tooth pick between the frame and the plastic hooks. Window Hooks 2 on each side of body 2. Start with the rear end. With body spread from step 1, slide a small screwdriver into the truck opening and pull the mechanism out a little. Repeat step 1 and 2 for front end. 3. Gently pry circuit board off the mounting posts. 4. Oil both ends of motor shaft where it passes thru the motor bearing. The flywheel end requires a thin tube oiler to get between the flywheel and the motor housing. 5. Oil both ends of worm shaft (shown) where it passes thru the bearing. Bearing is behind the driver figure in the photo. Also oil other end of shaft. 6. Oil all 8 axles where it pass through the bearing or pickup (brass plate) One drop is enough. 7. Reassemble the circuit board to the frame. Be sure the wires do not touch the flywheel or the universal shaft. Place the mechanism on your table. Align the body and press the body onto the frame. The window hooks will engage the frame. BE CAREFUL! Do not apply pressure to the trolley poles or trolley pole hooks! These units are not factory lubricated. We do not want oil and grease to stain the windows and body during shipping. Lube as per instructions below. Run for 1 hour without the body, using tissues to clean any excess oil from mechanism. Snap body in place. Our Bowser drive has a 10 year record of superior performance.
