You will find lots to see and do in the Boyne Valley area. There are walks along the Boyne itself and Eco-walks through woods and parks.

The towns of Drogheda, Trim, Kells and Slane all have sign posted Historic Town Trails which will take you to the most inspiring and historic areas. Download from our website or simply drop into one of the Tourist Information Centres during your stay.

There are plenty of golf courses, both parkland and links for the golf enthusiast. Horse treks are a great way to see the area and you will never be too far away from an equestrian centre. Take in some of the excitement of a day at the races with the areas many horse racing tracks.

There is fun and activities for children of all ages, from adventure centres and play parks, go fishing with the family or learn a new skill the fun way.

Pampering your cares away is easily done at some of the relaxing spas you will find in the Valley.

Driving RouteThe Boyne Valley Driving Route is currently being developed and will be fully signposted with interpretation panels at sites by end of 2011. In the meantime you can still follow this 225 kilometre route at your own pace – take a few days to really savour this historic glimpse into Ireland’s history. The route will bring you around the Boyne Valley – leading you to the main towns and villages and to the key and lesser known historic and heritage sites along the way.
