    Our actions continue to make BP stronger and safer. We are growingshareholder returns through operational efficiency and financial discipline

    Performance highlights in 2013

    BP completed 17 exploration wells and made seven potentially

    commercial discoveries in 2013. It was the most successful year for

    exploration drilling in almost a decade.

    Three major projects were started up in 2013 and another three in

    January and February 2014. BP expect a further four major upstream

    projects to start up in 2014.

    BP completed the commissioning of all major units for the Whiting

    refinery upgrade, transforming it into one of our advantaged downstream

    assets in our portfolio.

    BP divestments have removed complexity, strengthened the balance sheet

    and left them with a more distinctive set of assets that play to BPs

    strengths deep water, gas value chains, giant fields and high-quality

    downstream businesses.

    In a historic partnership with Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) in 2011,

    BP took a 30% stake in 21 oil and gas production sharing contracts

    in India, including the producing KG- D6 block and the formation of

    a50/50 joint venture to source and market gas in India

    Trading Activities

    BP maintains a strong focus on the exciting Indian oil market. Ledby our London and Singapore-based trading teams, we trade crude

    oil, bulk chemicals and petroleum products with Indian

    counterparties and help customers manage their energy price risk

    exposures. We aim to raise volumes, widen our product reach and

    forge alliances by matching local market positions with our globalexpertise in trading and supply.

    INFUSE

    BP is a partner to the Indian Fund for Sustainable Energy (INFUSE)

    at the Centre for Innovation, at the Indian Institute of management

    (IIM), Ahmedabad. This three way partnership between the

    government, industry and academia, aims to incubate new clean

    technologies.

    security:Bio fuels

    BP got a clear vision for biofuels business. We aim to research, develop and produce sustainable biofuels

    which are clean, reliable alternatives to fossil fuels for transport that deliverreal reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and help to improve security ofenergy supply.

    BPsbiofuels strategy (3 Strategic Objectives)

    Produce biofuels from the best feedstocks available today,

    including Brazilian sugar cane, while pushing for higher standards that bringcleaner, sustainably produced biofuels onto the market in greater quantities.

    Invest in new feedstocks, including cellulosic biofuelsmade from for purpose energy grasses, that have minimal impact on foodsupplies.
