It is with great pleasure that I bring you my
Bachelorette Party Guide Book: Must Haves,
which includes many tips and tricks I have learned
through the years working as a stand‐up
comedian and bachelorette party planner.
Since before the term “bachelorette party” was
ever used in the U.S., I’ve provided entertainment
at pre‐wedding parties. I first started out as a
stand‐up comedian in the 1980’s, and performed
a specialty act, featuring relationship jokes and
sassy props (“honeymoon helpers”), for brides
and their friends at clubs and private events. In
the 90’s, I launched my career as a bachelorette
party planner – creating and executing in‐home
and on the town, Bride’s Night Out® events.
To this day, I have helped thousands of celebrities
and women all over the world with their
bachelorette parties and have been responsible
for creating many of the fun games and traditions.
I hope you enjoy this book and find some great
tips to help you make your bachelorette party the
most awesome it can be!

Bachelorette Party “Must Haves” Check List
Bachelorette parties come in all styles and sizes – intimate to huge, in homes or at a
destination and with mild to wild activities. But no matter what you have planned for the
big celebration, you still need traditionally elements to set the tone of your event. Imagine
putting together a birthday party. There are details that are needed to make it a unique
celebration, such as invites, decorations and of course the birthday song and cake. The same
holds true for a bachelorette party. If you don’t have certain goodies, the bride‐to‐be and all
the guests may be disappointed. And the last thing you want to do is make them “poo poo”
your event.
Here is the check list of what you need to make the bachelorette party a true celebration. I
call them “Must Haves” because they are the primary details you NEED to have in order to
complete your event.

Shopping for Your Bachelorette Party Sure most of us love to shop for clothes, shoes and jewelry, and it’s usually pretty easy when
you’ve found a great store that carries the items you love at a great price. If you’re a
shopping pro like I am, then you probably have a quick list of those places that you go to
first.
But when you’re shopping for something new, like bachelorette party supplies, it’s
challenging finding a good retailer especially one that carries a great selection. Even doing
the research to learn about where to shop is enormously time consuming and confusing.
Have no fear! You’ve come to the right place for advice!
Shopping Locally
Bachelorette party supplies are extremely hard to find in local stores. You may be able to
find a few items, like plates and balloons, at fabulous mass retailers like Target or Party City.
However, they don’t have a large selection, products are generally very “mild” in style, and
what they carry doesn’t really capture the bachelorette party tradition. Other places such as
adult retailers (a.k.a. sex toy stores), may have a few products such as gifts for the bride, but
they don’t have apparel, party supplies or a tasteful selection.
If you are already a party client with Bride’s Night Out®, then the best bet is to let us help
you get the goodies you need and have them delivered to your party location or doorstep. If
you’re planning the party on your own, the best option may be to shop online for
everything.

Shopping Online
If don’t have time to drive all over town searching for what you need, shopping online for
your bachelorette party may be the best choice. The benefits of shopping online are
numerous including:
1. Bigger selection of products
2. Product description which give you great info before you buy
3. Shipping to your location or some other place you wish
4. Free party planning advice
5. Ease of shopping during the hours you are available
6. You can share product links with your friends or print them out for yourself
7. You save on time, gas, and wearing out your shoes
The only drawback to shopping online is, you’ll need to place your order at least 1 week
before your party to make sure the goodies arrive in time and to take advantage of lower
shipping charges. Still, if you’re a last minute planner, don’t shy away from shopping online.
Some sites offer overnight shipping for an extra charge.
For the best places to shop online, please visit the Bride’s Night Out Party Shop page

How to Save Money
As a bachelorette party host, you’re probably already taking care of many wedding related
expenses such as a dress for the big day, gifts, and other miscellaneous items. Finding cost
savings options for the bachelorette party is very important especially since you want to
make a great impact for your dollars spent.
One of the best ways of doing this is by shopping smartly! First, determine how many guests
will be attending the bachelorette party and what type of event you’re going to be having.
Then take a look at Party Kits which offer a selection of party supplies at a substantial cost
savings. They may have all the items you need to get your party started.
Party Kits
Bachelorette party kits and packs include an assortment of supplies that are grouped
together to make shopping easier for you and also provide cost savings. There are very cute
bachelorette party kits available: bachelorette party supplies, games, party decor and
bachelorette goodies for the bride‐to‐be. The bachelorette party kits that have party
supplies include matching cups, plates, utensils, invitations, name tags for the guests, and
decorations.

Invitations Whatever style or theme you have chosen for your party, you need bachelorette party
invitations to get the word out and also set the tone of the event. Invitations usually come
in groups of 8 which include invites and also the matching envelopes.
Before shopping find out how many guests will be invited to the party and buy at least 8
more invitations for last minute additions to the guest list. You’ll also want a few invites for
scrapbooks and to give to family members who may want them as keepsakes.
Choose a style that’s cute and fun! Some of my favorites are these: folded invites and
invites in a bling, bling ring shape. These will look great in a scrapbook!

What to Wear
The question of “What to Wear” always comes up when you’re headed out for a special
occasion. But when you’re hosting a bachelorette party, the guest of honor shouldn’t have
to worry her pretty little head about such things. It’s your duty to provide her with all that
she needs to look amazing, and also get the attention she deserves for being the fabulous
bride‐to‐be on her last night out.
Bride‐to‐Be
Get her totally decked out from head to toe in sassy attire that is fun and makes her feel
special. The rule of thumb is, the bride‐to‐be should have at least “7” wearable bachelorette
items. Seven is a very lucky number and symbolizes good fortune. So at least 7 is what
you’re aiming for but the more the better. After all, this is an over the top celebration and
the bride‐to‐be needs to be looking the part!
Starting from the top, you’ll want to choose a head piece that’s comfortable and stylish.
The Bachelorette Tiara is a great choice, especially since it comes with flashing lights that
draws attention to the bride‐to‐be and is more “mild” in style.

The Sassy Bachelorette Veil is perfect for a bride‐to‐be with a sense of humor, who loves
the tradition and is looking for naughty‐appeal. This veil also includes light‐up features
which adds a little flash and gets her noticed that much faster.
The Bachelorette Party Sash is one of those fun accessories we only get to wear on special
occasions. And what better occasion to wear a sash than at a bachelorette party!

The Bachelorette Feather Boa is a flirty addition to any outfit! It’s glamorous and sexy and
fun to play with and a “Must Have” for any bride‐to‐be. There are so many options in
picking a great boa and you need to choose wisely. Stay away from thin styles with lighter
feather weight. They tend to look shabby, tired and used. You’ll want to pick an extra fluffy
weight boa and one that comes with dyed tips. Here are some of my fabulous favorites:
The Bride‐to‐Be Button should not only have “Bride to Be” in text, but it should also have an
action suggestion to encourage strangers to approach the guest of honor.

http://www.bachelorettepartyclub.com
The Bride Bling Accessories These are stylish items the bride‐to‐be can wear for her bachelorette party and many pre‐wedding
party occasions. They’re also great keepsake items. My favorites are the I Do brooch and light up
ring.
Bride‐to‐Be Tops can be coordinated with any type of bottom such as a black pants or a skirt and
go go boots. In warmer climates choose just a tank and during the cooler months go for a tank and
matching hoodie. These are great clothing staples to be worn again and again.

http://www.bachelorettepartyclub.com
Bachelorette Party Guests You’ll also want to arrange coordinating outfits for the guests so everyone will feel like
they’re part of the entourage. I’ve put together a few of my picks below which tie in with
the bride‐to‐be’s outfit and is also the favorites of my party clients. As a side note, as a
bachelorette party host you’re not required to foot the bill on every guest’s outfit. Usually
you take care of the ordering and then collect from the guests for their portion.
Name Tags: all the guests should have them especially since many of the guests might not
know each other.
Party Badges are great conversation starters and can also tie in with a game.

http://www.bachelorettepartyclub.com
You’ll also want matching boas which coordinate with the bride‐to‐be’s. It’s not totally necessary to
have these but guests LOVE them and in cooler climates they really help in keeping everyone
comfortable. Take a look at the boas listed under the Bride‐to‐be section of this book.
Bachelorette Guest Sashes are fun accessories that anyone can wear over their outfits and still be
connected to the party.
Bachelorette Guest Tops are a necessity especially for weekend events. They also make great
party favors and gifts for bridal attendants.

Party Decorations
When you’re deciding on decorations for your party you first have to think about how many
places the guests will be. If they are first gathering at someone’s home, you should consider
festive decorations to set the mood and theme for the night. If limo transportation has been
arranged, you should definitely consider decorations (car art) for the inside and outside of
the limo as well. No matter where the party is taking place, you need to have décor that the
guests will enjoy.
Balloons are always a favorite at any celebration not to mention easy to set up. Tape them
to doors, chairs, mirrors, chairs, and inside of the limo in key areas (bar, window between
the driver and passenger). If you get a helium tank, you can fill a room with floating
balloons. Tie long curling ribbon to each and have it stream down to about 6’ from the floor.
Balloons also make fun accessories. Just tie the balloon to the end of a wooden stick and
give them to guests as they head out on the town. Sticks can be bought at local art stores.
Include other inflatables (blow‐ups) to add some impact to key locations (front door, inside
the limo, near the food area or tied to the bride‐to‐be’s chair). See Game Toys for options.

Party Supplies
When you’re having a bachelorette party at home or a location where you’re going to be
serving food or cake, you’ll need cute theme related party supplies.
Bachelorette Party Napkins, Plates and Utensils are the items you need at the very
minimum. Make sure to get enough napkins for drinks as well as what you’ll need for
serving food. For plates and utensils, you will need to get at least double the number of
guests that you have coming so they can use them for several servings.
Bachelorette Party Serving Trays and Utensils are not only useful but also add to the décor.
Trays can be used for chips, pasta salads, casseroles and more. Coordinating cocktail picks
can be used as useful embellishments to appetizers, sausages, and sandwich rollups.

Bachelorette Party Drinkware ‐ When you’re picking these out you’ll need to get a special
item for the bride‐to‐be and then complimentary shooters for the guests. A good time to
bring these out is when you’re ready to do your special bachelorette party toast.
Serving Suggestion: In a pitcher put together all the ingredients you need for one of the BNO Bubbly cocktails. Then fill each shooter and put them on a tray to bring out when you’re ready to give the toast. Make sure to have the bottle of BNO Bubbly nearby so all can see that it’s a special drink.
Bachelorette Party Drinkware To Go is great to use when you’re going out on the town and
want to get a little attention. Again, the bride‐to‐be should have her own unique item and
the guest shot glass is not only useful but is also a fun accessory.

Bachelorette Party Molds ‐ There are several ways to use these and they’re great for do‐it‐
yourselfers. You can make your own bachelorette party cake or cupcakes. You can also use
the molds to make a Jell‐O salad mold or shots .
Bachelorette Party Food
What food should you serve at your party that is quick, simple and allows you time to take
care of the other management responsibilities? My favorite choice is pasta of course which
can be prepared in a variety of ways – as a cold salad or as a warm entrée with sauce.

Bachelorette Party Sweets
You’re having a party so serving sweets to your guests is a must. If you’re going out on the
town, you’ll also need some nibbles to take with you out on the town.
Treats at Home – Of course you can also take these treats on the town with you but I think
they look great at home or location parties. Fill small glass bowls or serving trays above
with these colorful goodies and place them at several locations (bar area, cocktail table, and
with the other food items). You can also use these as part of a game.
Treats To Go are the favorites of every bachelorette party! Wear them, eat them, share
them and play games with them. They’re not only yummy, but they’re also loads of fun!

Party Favors A party favor is a little gift you give to each guest as a thank you for attending the event. Bachelorette party favors should tie in with the theme of the celebration and if possible match the colors that you have chosen for your party. Bride‐to‐Be Favor – You should give the bride‐to‐be the same favor that you’re giving to your other guests. However, you should make hers extra special by adding something to it. No matter what you choose for your party favor, this brooch will go with it! Use it as a decorative element to the wrapping or wrap it in tissue and include it with the favor.
Bachelorette Party Guest Keepsake – This frame is one of my top choices for party favors. After the party is over, you can send each of the guests a photo of the group sized to fit into the frame. With the magnetic back, they can put it on their refrigerator or post it up near their desk. This is a great keepsake to remember the celebration.

Games
Every bachelorette party has a selection of games which make it personally enjoyable for all
attending the event.
Games for Home – These are games that can be used at your home or location party.
Games on the Town – Sassy Games that are fun for the bride and the group. Choose both
traditional games such as “Such for a Buck” and new games.

Bride‐to‐Be Gifts
These are special gifts that are given to the bride‐to‐be at her bachelorette party and are for
ONLY her use. This is very different than a bridal shower gift which is for the couples to use.
At a bachelorette party each guest will give something to the bride, and the host gives her
something as well. Other times, all of the guests will contribute to one larger gift which is
coordinated by the bachelorette party host.
When you are choosing a gift for the guest of honor, select something that is kind of sassy
but also relates to the wedding celebration. Keeping that in mind, you will see that my
choices are things she can use pre‐wedding planning, at the event, at the honeymoon and
post wedding.
Gifts from Guests – These are great choices for gifts the guests can give the bride especially
if you’re playing a panty exchange game. They come in an assortment of colors and brides
love them.

http://www.bachelorettepartyclub.com
Gift from Bachelorette Party Host – As the bachelorette party host your gift should be
something that she will love to use and also ties in with the wedding theme. This hoodie
and “I Do” zipper pull captures it all.
Gift from Bachelorette Party Group ‐ The gift from the group should be flirty and fun and
maybe something she can use on her honeymoon. You may want to add some sunscreen, or
a towel to this gift.

Closing
Many of the items listed in the Bachelorette Party Guide: Must Haves may not be suitable
for every party. After careful research, we have selected the items above based on their
popularity and high ratings from our party clients and affiliates at the time of publishing.
As we have learned through the years, no two bachelorette parties are alike in style. Pre‐
wedding events are as different as their guest of honor, the host planning the event, and
their guests. And while every party is different, 98% incorporate into their planning more
than 7 traditional bachelorette party elements – supplies, decorations, outfits, signs, gifts,
invitations, etc.
The bachelorette party tradition in the United States is relatively new, with the first
“Bachelorette Party” events taking place in the east coast followed by the west coast in the
late 1980’s. Through the years, the tradition has evolved from going out with girlfriends to
male dance revues, to bar hopping, and now to creating personalized events.
Contemporary bachelorette parties range in style and entertainment/activities, and may be
celebrated in one night or day, or over a weekend. Brides‐to‐be are requesting events that
are more personalized and tie in with their interests. As a result, we are finding more
variations of party themes including trips to day spas, camping, wine tasting, crafts
workshops, dance classes, road trips, personalized nights out on the town, and more.
The only caveat in planning a bachelorette party is keeping true to the bachelorette party
tradition and goal – an event celebrating the bride‐to‐be’s single life she’s leaving behind, a
bonding with close friends and a chance to relax before the wedding day.
Start your planning early, and come party time, relax and celebrate. You deserve it, enjoy!
