But why be different? Well, it’s much more career led for starters and gives our students the edge when it comes to getting a job. Because students learn what it’s like to be in their chosen profession.

Of course, our classrooms might look like office environments and workplaces, but they’re still classrooms with all the learning equipment you’ll need. This includes essential kit like interactive smartboards and whiteboards as well as learning tools such as classroom recording equipment so that you can play back to your performance and evaluate it.

We’ve set up four separate study centres in key locations within the city.

BPP University in London Shepherd’s BushYou’ll find this BPP study centre conveniently located in the Shepherd’s Bush area of West London, just a five minute walk from the Westfield shopping centre. In the centre of all this is BPP University located in the historic St. James’ building on Oxford Street. Here you’ll find yourself not only in the city centre, but also in the midst of one of the largest student populations in Europe. We’re located within five minutes’ walk of Manchester’s Market Street and the Arndale shopping centre and just two minutes’ walk of Oxford Road station and a tram stop atSt. Peter’s Square, while a seemingly endless line of buses come and go along one of Manchester’s most famous roads.

Of course, no matter where in the world you go, mention Manchester and the first thing everyone thinks of is football. Its two teams, Manchester United and Manchester City are the pride of the city and quite rightly so - they are arguably the world’s most famous clubs.

But of course, football is just one of the reasons why this city is so well known and well loved. It’s also led the UK music scene for many years as the birthplace of such bands as The Smiths, Oasis and Take That. Add to this Manchester’s world-class museums, theatres, ballet, opera, cinemas, shops, bars and restaurants, and it’s easy to see why it’s among the UK’s fastest growing cities.

Manchester

Manchester is one of the largest legal and commercial centres in the country. A staggering 65 of the FTSE 100 companies call the city their home, including such household names as Google,The Co-operative Group, Aegis and the BBC. No surprise then that it’s a thriving centre for finance, banking and law, as well as the creative and media industries.

Of course, every bit as impressive is Birmingham’s business and legal credentials. Today, it is ranked as a beta-world city by the Globalisation and World Cities Research Network in recognition of its importance in the economic global system. Which makes perfect sense when you see the international businesses that Birmingham has attracted, including some of the biggest names in banking, finance law and insurance.

It’s in Birmingham’s commercial centre of the Colmore business and legal district that you’ll find BPP University. Students can immerse themselves in the city’s bustling environment while still enjoying all the sights and sounds that this vibrant city has to offer. Its excellent location also places students close to Birmingham Snow Hill station as well as a host of other transport links.

Birmingham is also well known as a centre of culture being home to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the Barber Institute of Fine Arts. There is also the new Library of Birmingham which is the largest public lending library in Europe and houses one of the largest Shakespeare collections in the world.

Birmingham

Revamped, rejuvenated and ready to impress, Birmingham has transformed itself from a once industrial town into one of the UK’s most cosmopolitan cities. Today famed as the largest city outside of London, its centre has been completely transformed and boasts one of the biggest and best shopping centres in the country as well as a lively nightlife.

One of the strongest legal markets outside London, Bristol is home to many South West and national firms and prides itself on delivering high quality work in a vibrant legal and business community.

With much of the city’s economy built on the electronics and aerospace industries, Bristol is also increasingly being viewed as part of the UK’s dynamic ‘media triangle’ alongside London and Manchester.

The city centre docks - recently redeveloped as a hotspot for dining and entertainment - provide the city’s workers with a selection of ways to unwind. Bristol also boasts great shopping, includingHarvey Nichols, as part of the Cabot Circus shopping and restaurant area.

BPP University, located in the heart of the city off historic Queen Square, can easily be reached by public transport. Just ten minutes’ walk from Bristol Temple Meads train station, and close to several bus stops, there are also numerous roads with dedicated bike lanes, and traffic-free routes - a cyclist’s dream.

Entry requirementsAs this is an employment focused programme it is essential that you are in employment. Therefore, all applications will require a letter of confirmation of employment and ideally support from your employer.

As well as employer support you will need to meet the following requirements:

• Be in recognised employment; and

• Have recognised and equivalent vocational, industry or professional qualifications such as

City and Guilds, NVQs etc; or

• Show evidence of equivalent qualification (examinations and experience will be considered) and apply following the Accredited Prior Experiential Learning and/or Accredited Prior Certified Learning procedures; or
