Parking Permits for UnloadingTemporary parking permits for unloading will be issued by University Housing staff upon your arrival at your residence hall’s entry point. Unloading areas near your residence hall are available for one hour on your move-in date. To ensure others have access in a timely fashion, these areas will be monitored closely by Housing staff. Please unload your vehicle quickly and move it to one of the limited free parking areas as soon as possible after you have completed unloading. Additional unloading locations include:

• Parking lots 5, 26, 34, 35, 37, 48, 57, 58, 61, 78, 106, 110, 136, the Sellery basketball courts area, the Smith basketball courts area, and on Lake St. and Frances St. near Witte Residence Hall

• These special parking arrangements are made for your convenience during your assigned move-in day only and are not allowed at other times of the year

• Fire zones are strictly enforced at all times• Vehicles left in parking areas not listed here or

beyond time limits listed on unloading permits will be subject to tickets and/or towing

Directions to Unloading AreasThe entry point for Bradley is on the corner of Elm Dr. and Observatory Dr. just to the west of Allen Centennial Gardens. From I-94 and I-90:

• Take the exit for US-12 W / US-18 W to Madison• Take the exit for US-151 N / Park St. (5.9 miles)• Turn left onto University Ave. (2.7 miles)• Take a slight right onto Babcock Dr. (0.8 miles)

then left onto Linden Dr. (0.1 miles)• Continue north onto Elm Dr. and look for move-

in signs and Housing staff who will direct you

Parking Areas — After UnloadingLimited Free Parking Options

• Parking lots 29, 36, 46, and 60 offer a limited number of free parking spaces for after unloading

• Oversized vehicles and trailers will be directed to a snow removal area north of the Goodman Softball Complex

Paid Parking AreasIn parking lots 6, 17, 20, 27, 76, 80, 83, and the City of Madison Public Parking Ramp near State St. visitors will take a ticket on entrance and pay when leaving. No trailers are allowed.

Other Campus Parking LotsSome campus lots may offer free parking on weekends or after 4:30pm on weekdays. Check posted parking lot entrance signs for details.Side Streets Near CampusSome City of Madison streets near campus offer limited parking with time limits.Free Campus Bus RouteMadison Metro’s campus bus route #80 is free and runs from 6:30am – Midnight throughout the UW-Madison campus area year-round, including on all move-in days.
