ACADEMIC PROJECT
ANTI-COLLISION DEVICE
This work is concentrated on predicting the major course of railway accidents
that is collision on the same track. For this purpose some advanced technology toidentify train positions, collision detection as well as the points at where collisions
may occurs have been used. The primary goal of our anti-collision system is toidentify such collision points and to report these error cases to main control room,
nearby station as well as grid control stations.
So, that if any collision likely to occur then our system will help to avoid such
conditions by giving an alarm to concern units. To build this system, advanced sensing technology, long distance communication system and wirelessCommunication protocol has been used. This practical system is modeled and
simulated to real life condition to identify anti-collision systems utility in productivedifferent real railway track collision cases.

• ACDs can be implemented in Railways to prevent collisions and to decrease the
timing between two consecutive trains running one after another.
• ACDs can be used tracking devices.
• ACDs can also be used in heavy vehicles like Cranes, Earthmovers etc to prevent
accidents and for their safe working in public places.
