Brand Identity

Title Image:We have chosen to have “Blackout” as our title for the movie featured in our trailer. Our two ancillary products are based around the movie in the trailer so they will both show the title in some way. We have decided on this font because it is big and bold, connoting the idea that it can’t be ignored and must be paid attention to, like the main antagonist in our productions. The hand print shows the victims fighting against the antagonist, however, the blood dripping from it gives the idea that they have failed and the antagonist has won. The small lines of white going through the words represent small rays of light or glimmers of hope in the victims that they might have a chance to survive. The use of red and the line dripping from the hand connotes the idea of blood and gore which will attract our target audience, due to the fact that the aspirers in our target audience are drawn to products mostly from the look of them. Lastly, the red in the title fits in with our colour scheme of black, white and red and will carry on through all of our products to show the link between them.

Company Image:

We have decided to use “Voodoo Productions” for the production company name because voodoo is usually linked with the idea of not being in control. This shows that our audience won’t be in control of what happens in our products. Also, it connotes the idea that even if you think someone has died, they might still have an influence on future actions. This will have a role in our productions because it will show that even if our victims think they have killed one of our antagonists they may either not be dead or they will still have and effect on what happens later on.

Colour Scheme

• We asked our audience which colour scheme they preferred as part of our audience research and the overall reply was black and red. We have chosen to go with this as not only does it attract our target audience but it also fits well with the genre as red connotes blood and danger and black connotes death, evil and power. This fits well with our product because the antagonist will be powerful, evil and the cause of death and spilt blood. This colour scheme will be carried throughout the products to show that they are all linked to the main product, causing the audience to associate each product with these particular colours.
