Brandeis National Committee In Support of
Brandeis University
Continuing a Legacy, Promoting Social Justice
Louis Brandeis 1865-1941
Commitments to justice and education were commemorated in the founding of Brandeis. Brandeis is dedicated to support social justice, a legacy inherited from the University’s namesake U.S. Supreme Court justice Louis D. Brandeis, whose support of the rights of individuals infused his life’s work.
Brandeis National Committee – The Portal to Giving & Community
BNC provides philanthropic support to Brandeis University. Its membership is connected to the university through fundraising and service to the community by activities that reflect Brandeis values of Social justice.
What is Social Justice?
Social justice is defined as working with the disadvantaged to change society for the benefit of all. A just society understands and values human rights, and recognizes the dignity of every human being. There are many different ways that Brandeis National Committee chapters work within their communities to make this kind of social change. They do so by sponsoring community service projects.
