IntroductionThese guidelines are for the production of the FdA Contemporary dance proj-ect. The project is split into three sec-tions, which consist of Web, Video and graphic.

FdA Dance Contemporary

This exciting foundation degree will enable people to develop the skills needed for a successful career within the contemporary dance world and re-lated industries. The course has a strong practical focus and will develop your fundamental skills and under-standing through an exploration of technique, choreography and performance.

This is my logo idea. The silouhette has a big impact and i think could be incorporated into all sections of the project. I can be easy to use on future products like hoodies and doc-uments.

The colour scheme is an important part of the project. The key focus is that they dont want to make it an “all girl” group. They want varity of males aswell. using all girly colours is a “no - no.” A good mix is purples and blues. They are very calm co-lours and not to over the top. lours and not to over the top.

These are a couple of colour swatches; followed by the one ill be using;

This colour is good because it sort of neutural towards boys and girls. It doesnt much more of one side to another.

TypographyThe font face is a very important part of

the design. I wanted the font face to be

more modern so i will be using the sans

serif family. In terms of style, i think as a

dance course, it involves alot of move-

ment and using that with the font face

will be a strong idea. however not so

much you can read it.much you can read it.

Here are a few examples of type faces

that i thought would go well.

There is one thing i thought of with dance that is dancing on center stage. It would be good to incorporate that into the website. So i’ve position everything center. Another key feature i can do is the fact the dance is all about movement so the top box would be a slideshow or video to clip to show movement in the static website.in the static website.

This is a brief mock- up of the poster

design, i would be making. The head of

the course said “make sure its different

to any other type of dance.” I tried to

keep it very mysterious. (not giving much

away) . This is why i kept with the one

image with a feather effect. The Logo’s

have to be used in poster and can be have to be used in poster and can be

either moved around to be at the top or

bottom. The Simple theme of black and

white keeps it very mysterious.
