  • PREFACEThe pieces in Bravo! Violin take the student progressively through theearly grades. They consist mainly of original material, with a fewarrangements too - sorne well-known, sorne more unusual. These piecesare intended to encourage the student to perform - rather than mereiy play- whenever the opportunity arises.Ah too often, the early stages of leaming an instrument can be a sohitaryprocess. Wherever possible, these pieces should be played with theirkeyboard accompaniments. Hearing the keyboard parts wihi lead to anawareness and appreciation of different musical styles and a sense ofharmony, not just melody. In addition, playing with an accompanimentdeveiops the pupils ability to maintain his or her own part while histeningto another. And of course, its fun!

  • VORWORTDie Musikstcke in Bravo!
