Keeping Up With The Board- President Karen Lyons

Dear ,

The Board of Trustees meet following pot luck dinner after serviceson the 2nd of September. This is the last meeting before the AnnualMembership meeting on October 7th.

I expect to get a report concerning the progress of the old auditorium

building. Due to the demolition phase of this project, there will likely be some sprucing up neededinside the cabins involved in this project and some decisions need to be made concerning that

aspect of the improvements.

I anticipate discussion regarding the addition of a new cabin. There are many decisions that mustbe made before this project is begun. There is a tree I am concerned with. As most of you know,

we have already lost several trees to age and disease. We must also weigh the option ofpurchasing two cabins or one. This is an important issue regarding the future growth of theCamp. The Board is interested and anxious to hear what all of our members have to say on these

issues. I hope you will plan to attend and help make these decisions.

I had a great time at the Fair! Everyone I talked to felt the day was a success and would like to doit again. I want to thank all of the vendors as well as the attenders. If you would like to see the fair

become a regular event please let any Board member know or express that desire at the meeting.

The Fall line up includes three of my favorite people. September 8 Rev. Charles Cox is cominghome to host a workshop. Charles is not only a gifted medium, but a gifted

speaker/teacher. Charles is coming from Denver and offering this workshop for a donation to the

Church. Come join us for a blessing beyond your expectation.

September 22, 23 Betty Russell will host a weekend seminar on iridology. Betty has been a

member of Sunset Church for sixteen or so years through good times and not so good. Bettyserves out of a deep desire to teach and help others find better health. Betty serves quietly,

cheerfully, and faithfully with a generous heart. The cost of the class is $150.00 and includesbooks and all other class material as well as meals. Cabins will be available for those with a desire

or need for one. Contact Betty 785-309-9215 or stop by her store, Natural Connections, 1217S. Santa Fe, in Salina, to reserve your spot in the class and perhaps get a better deal! Contact

Linda to reserve a cabin. Ill see you there. October is still reserved for the third session of DNA Activation presented by Kevin Phillips.

Kevin is a quiet man, though mischievous. Kevin demonstrates great love for you and the Church. Kevin will be well prepared and inspire you to be more. Kevin, I believe truly is a Light Worker,

a man of God who strives to walk his talk. Kevin will offer this workshop to participants inexchange for a free will donation to the Church. Make plans now to join me on October 6th.

Talking about these three teachers I am reminded of the story of Isaiah's calling. When God

asked who will carry my message, Isaiah answered, "Here am I". I'm right here. Send me. Ithank God for these and all of the other gifted teachers who listen, who hear, and answer the call.

We are blessed to have these teachers not only to teach, but to lead by their example of love andservice. True joy is not in the getting, but in the giving. I believe.
