Military branches use the same Grade structure

— Numerical designators for Enlisted, Warrant Officer, and

Officer

Each Grade has a corresponding name (known as

Rank/Rate)

Personnel are commonly referred to as their Rank/Rate;

i.e. Sergeant, Chief, Lieutenant, Captain, etc.

Occupation Codes

— Army and Marine Corps refer to these as MOS

— Air Force refers to these codes as AFSC

— Navy uses NEC (Enlisted), and NOBC (Officers) terminology
