` 1 . After a warm shower towel dry and find a well-lit room .S tand in front of the mirror and inspect the groin areaincluding the scrotum and the penis gland. Look for the

positioning of both scrotum and also for any lumps or bumps,and discoloration.

` 2. Raise one leg and place at right angles on a chair or stool

and inspect the scrotal sac again. Use the hand on thecorresponding side of the testicle and start to palpate or feelthe testicle. Apply medium pressure.

3. Remember only to use the three digits, that is the indexfinger, middle finger and the thumb to feel the testicle. Alsoonly use the fleshy pads at the tips of the fingers to do thepalpation of the testicle.

` 4. Next, repeat the same procedure on the opposite testicleusing the tips of the three corresponding fingers. Feel for any

unusual lumps or bumps that was not there in the previousexamination. Look for change in skin texture or flakiness.S eeif there is any discoloration at any part of the scrotal surface.
