Our breast surgeons at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, in collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine, have pioneered many of the latest advances in breast surgery and are experts in performing minimally invasive procedures for breast cancer treatment.

NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is an accredited breast center by the American College of Surgeons, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and is the only hospital in the borough of Queens to be named a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.

Specializing in the latest advances, our team of experts provides neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy, targeted therapies, radiation techniques, genetic information, pathology and the important aspects of compassion and supportive psychological considerations that surround breast disease.

In recent years, significant progress has been made in the early diagnosis and treatment of breast disease and surgical care has evolved from open, more invasive surgical procedures, to less invasive techniques whenever medically feasible for the patient. We manage and treat a myriad of breast conditions including but not limited to benign fibroadenomas, intraductal papillomas, nipple discharge, and breast pain.

In all cases, we work collaboratively with our patients and hold ourselves to the highest standards of care benchmarking our outcomes using data collection protocols to accurately and objectively assess our performance in multiple areas of surgical safety.

All of our surgical services and therapeutic care are supported by demonstrated excellence in breast imaging and accreditation in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy which includes new 3D mammography technology that allows for better, more accurate detection of breast disease in the fight against breast cancer. We guide our patients through the complex issues surrounding breast disease and work together as a multidisciplinary medical team providing comprehensive, patient-centered care from initial screening and diagnosis to surgery, treatment, and survivorship.
