You are four times more likely todie if someone hits you at 40mphthan if they are doing 30mph.Speeding vehicles take longer tostop and you’re more likely to bekilled if the car is speeding andthe driver more likely to beinjured. A few miles per hour canmean life or death.

Not wearing a seatbelt can kill, even on short journeys. A lowspeed crash can be enough to cause death or serious injury evenat 30mph and you are twice as likely to die if you don’t wear aseatbelt

Anyone over 14-years-of-age must wear a seatbelt in the frontand back of a car by law.

The zig zag lines outside yourschool are there to make it saferfor you to cross the road. Somepeople park on them to drop off

at the school gate. This is dangerous and against the lawbecause it makes it harder forother drivers to see you.

Everyone knows using a phonewhile driving is dangerous. Thesame goes for fiddling withSatNav systems while driving too.Drivers are four times more likelyto crash if they’re on the phoneand driving at the same time.

And it takes them twice as longto react if someone steps out infront of a car while they’re doingit. It is illegal to use a phonewhile driving, even at trafficlights or in a jam.
