ABOUT EBC AND THE BREWERS OF EUROPEBeer has been brewed for thousands of years with a step-by-step evolution in the science and technology lea-ding to what we recognise as beer today

The European Brewery Convention (EBC) has played its part in developing methods for modern quality control procedures in brewing malting and hop laboratories throughout the world All technical aspects of beer brewing knowledge and scientific research in brewing science have been corner stones of the activities of the EBC throu-gh their main events

The Brewers of Europe brings together national brewersrsquo associations from 29 European countries and provides a voice to support the united interests of Europersquos 11000 plus breweries The Brewers of Europe promotes the positive role played by beer and the brewing sector in Europe and advocates the creation of the right conditions to allow brewers to continue to freely cost-effectively and responsibly brew and market beer across Europe Based in Brussels The Brewers of Europe acts as the contact point between breweries and the European Institu-tions with regard to EU regulations and legislative proposals with a real or potential impact on the operations of a responsible and sustainable European beer sector

Every second year the Brewers Forum is organised jointly with the EBC Congress as is the case for the 2022 edition

ABOUT THE EVENTThe Brewers Forum brings together brewers of all sizes ingredients suppliers equipment providers and the entire beer value chain to discuss the latest and upcoming developments Held on a yearly basis it addresses via plenaries breakout seminars and practical workshops the hot topics in the beer world from brewing techno-logies brewing skills marketing sustainability consumersrsquo expectations trade trends etc

Key players from the industry ndash from CEOs of international companies to brewmasters from newly created breweries or the owners to managers of family businesses from lead research institutes to universities ndash come to address the audience share their insights and debate with their peers The EBC Congress is one of the most important brewing technical events in Europe as well as across the globe It appeals to researchers technologists scientists and other professionals involved in the fields of brewing mal-ting beverage engineering and fermentation
