Our inland ports partnership with Toll

6

With Toll Group, DPWA is developing intermodal container terminals in the freight heartlands of Western

Sydney and investigating sites in other metro areas that are connected to Port Botany and Port of Melbourne

by rail.

Villawood in Western Sydney is on the Sydney Southern Freight Line (SSFL) and is connected to the regional

rail network in NSW and beyond. This offers the potential to connect our container terminals and inland ports

by rail to the cities of Newcastle and Adelaide and the export markets regional NSW, regional Victoria and

beyond.

Our inland port strategy

7

The goal of our inland ports offer more convenient points of loading and delivery for importers and

exporters and will support and feed our marine container terminals.

Our inland ports will be a “virtual port”, an inland intermodal replicating all the marine container

terminal service offerings.

Offering full suite of empty container park services & 77G under-bond depot licence

Empty container handling and storage services are also available so IMEX can deliver and receive

full and empty containers in the one trip at a single location
