Bridgewater Residents of all ages.

The Bridgewater Creative Arts Committee (BCAC) is excited to announce its second exhibit in this series, showcasing the artistic eye and lens of its residence. This particular exhibit encourages resident photographers, either hobbyist or professional to capture American Patriotism and pride. The exhibit is eligible to all residents of Bridgewater, no matter what age or skill level. camera or even camera phone! Whether you’re professional, novice, career, or

hobbiest, we invite you to capture what American pride and patriotism means to

you!!!

Drop-off Times – You MUST drop off your work during the above times and dates only.

Artwork MUST be dropped off IN A PORTFOLIO or protected by two cardboard panels, one on front and one on back, with artwork twined inside, with a LABEL.

1 label and one release form per person. Located at the end of this packet. Please print out, fill-in and affix to the FRONT of the portfolio!

NO food or Beverage will be provided.

NUMBER OF PIECES OF ARTWORK ALLOWED

3 Pieces Per Artist PLEASE! Space is limited.

We only have about 60 exhibit wall spaces, so first come first serve!

Photography prints should be NO SMALLER that 8X10 and should be mounted on BLACK FOAMCORE with a 2 inch border on all sides. (For an 8x10 photo, foamcore

should measure 12x14.)

*Can be portrait or landscape. *Can be color or black and white

We will accept framed pieces, but we do not take any responsibility should damage occur to frame or glass. Framed pieces, still need to be NO SMALLER than

8x10.

Artwork must not exceed 18x24in. Please see instructions for MOUNTING

MOUNTING & LABELING

ALL Photograpy prints MUST BE mounted on FOAM CORE, or Framed

No Matte Board -- it does NOT hang well and bows easily!

The Foam Core should be NO MORE and no less than 2” on each side of the original artwork. Black is preferred.

Photography prints should not be smaller that 8X10 inches with foam core, 12x14

Photography should not exceed 18X24 inches with foam core, 22x28 inches

Please use Photomount or similar sprays to affix your photography properly to the foamcore. Do NOT use liquid glue, as they will bubble your prints, and DO NOT use double stick tape as it will not last the whole exhibit.

Frames need to be pre wired, securely.

Each Photographer MUST have an BCAC Back Label on each print/1 Student/Artist Release Form per person (download) attached to the back

PLEASE PRINT! DO NOT label the photography on the FRONT – BCAC will make labels for

you!

o For each print you will need the following information found on form. Again PLEASE affix the form to the BACK of the prints:

o Bridgewater Resident ARTIST First & Last Name (Artists under 18 will only be displayed with first name and last initial in exhibit!)

o Address

o Title of Piece

o Medium

o School and Teacher Name if appacable

Photography prints not meeting the above criteria will not be accepted /exhibited!!!

Prints MUST be dropped off in a portfolio or protected with fitting cardboard front and back and tied together, with a LABEL (included, please print out, fill-in and affix to the

FRONT of the portfolio) ****Permission slip/ Release form attached at bottom of this

document. ALL PHOTOGRAPHERS MUST include this form filled out as well. Please attach in your portfolio Package,

Tape to back of foam core.

-PHOTOGRAPHER MUST be a Bridgewater Resident- or a

Bridgewater Business PLEASE NOTE* You can sell your prints. Please include price

and Contact email/website on your back label only.

CHECK LIST: Please PRINT & FILL OUT the appropriate tag and affix to your

PORTFOILO!!!

Your work MUST be dropped off in a PORTFOLIO or protectively encased in

PHOTO PRINT Labels for this exhibit to be displayed will be created from

this information so PLEASE write clearly. We will NOT display disability or

if under 18, a child’s last name. Only the first initial of last name

would also like to seek your permission to (1) exhibit the work and (2) possibly publish the work on the internet.
