commercial bandwidth.

Video as a Force Multiplier
● Prior to OIF, UAV reliance was largely at strategic levels.
● There was only one UAV squadron per MEF.● Video surveillance was only viewable at local UAV
sites via high resolution NTSC video format.● Convert NTSC to MPEG video format and multicast
via Everything Over IP (EoIP) systems using commercial Ku Band TDMA.
● Leased commercial TDMA assets: 27 MHz transponder to provide BW.
● We use video feeds over satellite to command and control from beyond line of site, as seen in the following slide.

System Description
● The major functional groups of the package are Ku-Band Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) antenna, modem, routers, accelerators, KG-175/TACLANE, and Cisco Call Manager for SIPRNET Voice over Internet Protocol (Secure VoIP). NIPRNET VoIP ready.
● All equipment is packaged in transit cases which are all HMMWV transportable.
● The Ku VSAT terminal features an auto-acquiring, auto-tracking antenna.
● The modems are ViaSat Linkway IP, allowing hub and spoke or mesh architectures.
