Q: What have ExxonMobil, Credit Suisse, HP, GSK and many employers in common with NTU?
A: They use attachments to spot and recruit NTU talents.
20 weeks IA and 10 weeks IO, how will it affect me?
• “I can do more electives during semester since IO is from May to July”
• Scope and depth of learning/experience is very different between a 20 week IA project and a 10 week IO project − 20 weeks > the usual 3 months job probation period; sufficient time for
employers to assess the potential, capability and other attributes of NTU students
“Is it worth for me to invest one semester to do IA? I gain more work experience and possibly a chance to be recruited by the company if it uses attachment to spot talents.”
“I like to take up additional electives so that I can gain more knowledge in those subjects. 10 weeks of work experience is good enough for me.”
What do employers say about NTU students?
For 28 years, NTU has established a comprehensive Industrial Attachment programme to equip our graduates with practical knowledge and skills that are relevant to industries that enable NTU graduates to compete in the globally competitive job market.
Our Graduates Employability
For NTU Graduating Class of 2010
Almost 100% (99.9%) received at least one job offer within 4 months after graduation
9 in 10 graduates were employed within 4 months after graduation
1 in 5 got job offers from their internship companies
