Briefing the Chief Guest is a notable event in all noticeable celebrations. So

its my pleasure and privilege to introduce the Chief Guest Dr.M.Thangaraju

Vice Chancellor of Periyar University Salem, who is the adornment of the

glorious Annual Day & Sports Day Celebrations of Mahendra Institute of

technology.

He is born in the year 1946 at Jalagandapuram near Salem which is known

for Mango and steel. His father Shri. T. Muthu who is the pearl has given

this gold to this World.

He studied his post graduation at Pachaiyappas College which is a

renowned college gave a legend Arignar Anna, the former Chief Minister of

Tamilnadu. Besides he obtained his Master of Literature and Doctorate from

the Pioneer of Education that is University of Madras.

Our Chief Guest has been serving in the field of Education for more than 33

years. He guided more than 50 research scholars for their Master of

Philosophy.

Another interesting fact , He is a good writer in Tamil. He has written a

stage play Bhagavan Buddhar. His another notable work is Nilaviyal in

Sangham Literature which has got Best Book Award from Tamilnadu

Government. His other works are Kuralum Malarum (which is in printing)

Vaanavil and Malargal Manithargal.

Aboe all he has given varieties of programmes in AIR that is All India

Radio, Chennai. He sometimes decorated our reception room with his TV

programmes like Vanakkam Tamizhagam on Sun tv which is known for

interviewing succeeded personalities in the Society. Not only in SUN TV, he

has appeared in Doordarshan also through programmes like Namathu

Sinthanai, Kural Vilakkam. Once he appeared in foreign television also in its

programme called Kalai malar.

Above all still he is serving tirelessly for students community in the society

and guiding them to compete in Competitive examinations.
