1 Wednesday, August 23, 2017 IB Chem Warm-Up (~5 min) 1. Bring Assignment #6 (your excellent notes) to your seat. Ms. Alarcon will check them for credit. 2. Work on answering the questions on the tan page titled “In Class Problems – August 22, 2017” (clearly, we’re a day off) à Start with the text questions on the back (use separate paper), then do the IB questions on the front/back. à Also, start by working independently (no notes/peers). à When you’ve answered everything you can on your own, consult your notes. Are they helpful? Did you learn & retain anything from having spent time taking notes? à Quiet discussion with your table: What are excellent notes? (Is this different in the IB world than elsewhere?) How much do you benefit from taking notes? What could you do (while taking notes or instead of taking notes) to benefit more? 3. Check out the IB flash cards on your table. If you would like to receive paper do-it-yourself copies of these & other IB flash cards, please sign up (see clip board at front of the room.)
