As part of the Carousel of Happiness Board of Directors, it's critical to know the essential responsibilities, roles, and questions needed to ensure excellence in governance. In this two-hour in-service we will use interactive learning and discussion to cover: − Every board member’s governing roles and responsibilities including strategic planning. − The various hats worn as a board member. − Differences and similarities between board and staff governance. − The critical role resource development plays in board leadership. − Strategies and tips for running effective (and fun) meetings.
