Richard M. Langworth is a senior fellow for Hillsdale College’s Churchill Project. He has served as president and chairman of the board of trustees of the International Churchill Society, as well as editor of its journal, Finest Hour. He published the first American edition of Churchill’s India, is the author of A Connoisseur’s Guide to the Books of Sir Winston Churchill, and is the editor of several books, including All Will Be Well: Good Advice from Winston Churchill. His most recent book is Churchill and the Avoidable War. In 1998, he was appointed a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

Václav Klaus was prime minister of the Czech Republic from 1992 to 1997 and president from 2003 to 2013. As prime minister, he oversaw the “Velvet Divorce” of the Czechoslovak Federation. He studied at the Prague School of Economics and was a researcher at the Institute of Economics of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. He began his political career in 1989 as finance minister and later served as chairman of the Civic Forum movement. Following his two terms as president, he founded the Václav Klaus Institute. A member of the Mont Pelerin Society, he has published numerous books, including Europe: The Shattering of Illusions.

Byron York is the chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner and a Fox News contributor. Formerly White House correspondent for National Review and a columnist for The Hill, he has written for numerous publications, including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the Weekly Standard, and the Claremont Review of Books. He is the author of The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy: The Untold Story of How Democratic Operatives, Eccentric Billionaires, Liberal Activists, and Assorted Celebrities Tried to Bring Down a President—and Why They’ll Try Even Harder Next Time.

Ride the Snaefell Mountain Railway up to the island’s highest point, where on a clear day you can see Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland. Seminar sessions will be held in the late afternoon while the ship is docked in Douglas.

Extend your trip by joining an exclusive post-cruise tour in and around London. Led by Hillsdale College President Larry P. Arnn, the tour will visit key sites in the life of Winston Churchill. The group will stay at the five-star Royal Horseguards Hotel in central London.

Program: Day One—Disembark and depart the pier via air-conditioned motor coach for a guided tour of Blenheim Palace, Churchill’s birthplace and ancestral home. See the room where Churchill was born and the gardens where he proposed to Clementine. Visit Churchill’s gravesite at St. Martin’s church in nearby Bladon. Enjoy lunch and a lecture in Oxford, followed by free time. Continue to London for hotel check in and dinner on your own.

Day Two—Following a group breakfast at the hotel, travel via air-conditioned motor coach to Chartwell, Churchill’s country home. Tour the home, explore the gardens, and see Churchill’s paintings on display in the art studio. After lunch at the Selsdon Park Hotel, listen to remarks by Churchill’s granddaughter Celia Sandys and Lady Williams of Elvel, who as Jane Portal served as a secretary to Winston Churchill from 1949 to 1955. Return to London for free time and a group reception and dinner at One Whitehall Place.

Day Three—Following a group breakfast at the hotel, depart on a walking tour of important Churchill sites in the Whitehall area, including Horse Guards Parade and the Churchill War Rooms. Enjoy a group lunch in the War Rooms. Following afternoon free time, take a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament.
