AssemblyMinimal soldering skill and a soldering iron (not included) is required to assemble FEZ Tinkerer Kit. The first thing to do is to solder all headers as showing in picture below. Note that the header strips are long so you need to break off the pin count you need. Do not be alarmed if you have extra headers after you are done.

Connecting FEZ and ShieldsFEZ Panda II plugs in upside-down like showing in image below. The other side can be used to hold a shield, such FEZ Connect shield.

You can also plug FEZ Panda II right into FEZ Connect and they both connect to the base board upside-down. An extender header (not included) is required if the 40pin header needs to connect to the base board.

Note: FEZ Tinkerer Kit is optimized for FEZ Panda II but using original FEZ Panda or FEZ Domino is possible as well, even using an Arduino is possible.

Adding a DisplayFEZ Touch can plug directly in to the base board as showing below.

When everything is in place, it might be desirable to mount the display in a different place. This is easily accomplished by adding a “male to female 40-pin IDE hard drive extender cable”(not included). An example is showing in picture below. Here is an example http://www.pccables.com/01811.html

Note that this cable is standard 0.05” spacing cable with 0.1” end sockets, making it is possible to make the cable yourself.

Closing the enclosureThe kit ships with short screws to mount the base board on the bottom side of the enclosure. There are also longer screws to mount the enclosure cover. The two enclosure face-plates ship with no openings on them leaving it up to your configuration's needs.
