Assembly and maintenance

The Art-Ice skating surface consists of synthetic panels.

Each element measures 100 x 200 cms and has a thickness

of 20 mm. The elements are stackable and can be easily

lifted by 2 people. Art-Ice can be laid on any fi rm and even

surface. The panels are laid directly onto the surface and

are seamlessly assembled. The same goes for dismantling.

A precision dovetail system ensures a seamless assembly

of the panels. The border elements can be fi tted with boar-

ding. When all the elements are assembled, you will have

a fi rm skating surface.

The skating surface requires hardly any maintenance. Very

intensive use may cause small burrs and micro-particles

could become dislodged from the surface. Brushing at the

end of the day is suffi cient to prepare the rink, ready for

the next day. The fl oor must be polished periodically by

using a polishing machine. For rented fl oors this is the res-

ponsibility of the rental company.

Art-Ice is particularly suitable for Fun and Sports activities.

Art-Ice is ideal for recreational purposes and events. For recrea-

tional purposes Art-Ice could be used at campings, bungalow

parks and amusement parks. For events, activities such as

team building, a sports day, survival or a disco party are just

a few examples. Art-Ice is also available for corporate events,

community fetes or family parties.

In the fi eld of Sports, Art-Ice is used for Ice Hockey and Fi-

gure Skating. Art-Ice is particularly suitable for ice hockey and

fi gure skating clubs and a perfect addition to their existing ice

surface. A close season is no longer necessary; there is always

a skating surface available for use.

Technical information

Material: Art-Ice consists of synthetic panels which form

a dry skating surface.

Dimensions: The panels are 100 x 200 cms, but other

dimensions are possible.

Weight: The fl oor has a weight of 19kgs/m2.

Colour: The fl ood is white, but can be supplied in another

colour.

Thickness: The panels have a thickness of 20 mm.

Boarding: The hard boarding is made of synthetic and a

steel frame. The infl atable boarding consists of

panama-cloth and only the underside and the

skating side are made of Icetex.

Art-Ice is fi reproof and is certifi ed in accordance with UL-94.

Betech Kunstoffen B.V. has developed a synthetic skating

surface. Skates with blades from 1.2 mm width (ice hoc-

key and fi gure skates) can be used on this skating surface

without causing any noticeable damage to the surface.

This skating surface, called Art-Ice, does not require any

electricity or gas! Art-Ice is more economically effi cient

than an artifi cial ice skating rink and meets all safety

standards.

Art-Ice is 365/24. This surface can be used in all tempe-

ratures and during all seasons, 365 days a year and 24

hours a day. This means year round skating fun without

the need to invest in costly energy. The Art-Ice skating

surface is available in any shape and size.. You can even

choose your own colour!
