Points to consider while designing Cleanroom Luminaires

Cleanroom requires special Luminaires that need to be supplied as per class of cleanroom and ceiling systems to be used. We at Crompton Greaves Limited understand the client requirement and carefully design, manufacture and supply these luminaires.

Industry Application Different applications call for different types of Cleanroom Luminaires for instance certain applications may have inherent vapours, fumes, dust, temperature or pressure restrictions.

Lux Levels & CCT Options Depending upon the level of operation, different Lux levels may be sought on the work plane thus requiring specific lamp types & Luminaire positioning. Some applications may require specific color temperature.

Ingress Protection Correct IP rating is to ensure internal lighting components are isolated from external environment. It helps protect fixture's components from dust, moisture, EMI, air pressure leakage, thermal isolation, arcing etc & other performance inhibiting factors or events that could adversely effect safety of the people or the integrity of the processes being performed.

Ease of Access / Maintenance While designing a cleanroom, its of utmost importance to check access to the Luminaire for maintenance without contaminating the cleanroom so the Luminaire could either be Top or Bottom Openable.

Type of Ceiling Type of ceiling will determine either Surface, Suspended or Recessed variants of the Cleanroom Luminaire. Certain applications may demand concrete/ metal walkover ceilings as well & the Luminaire shall be compatible for such ceilings with special attention to sealing mechanism between ceiling & the Luminaire

Manufactured as per ceiling systems to be used with unique adjustable mounting system. Suitable for RCC and walkable metal, modular false ceiling.

Fabricated from high grade CRCA sheet steel and treated in 8 tank process. Powder coated with epoxy white powder. Frame is made from anticorrosive extruded aluminium (SS frames available on demand), epoxy powder coated in white colour.

Reflector is made from high brightness anodized aluminium provided end to end for high LOR

Provided with non corrosive/non-hygroscopic gasketting material. Luminaire can be easily cleaned with disinfectants and mild water jets. IP65 lamp compartments offers protection from solid micro particles and moistures.

Suffix “G” for Glass cover & “SS” for stainless steel frame for ordering

Replace EB with EBB for < 10% THD electronic ballast
