SHIELDAFRICA has become the African Security and Defence event of reference • where Security (public and private) and Defence actors of the continent meet the industry from all over the world offering innovative and reliable solutions,• where experts and forces present their work results, their testimonials on the changes in threats and responses that need to be made.

In 2017, for its 4th edition, supported by the Minister of State, Minister of Interior and Security of Côte d'Ivoire, ShieldAfrica allowed a growing number of exhibiting companies to start or to strengthen trade contacts with African high-level ever more numerous visitors: decision-makers and contractors. On the eve of the opening of the exhibition, a conference sponsored by the Minister of Defence of Côte d'Ivoire has brought together 500 participants, including 50 Official Delegations (OD) and all the exhibitors.

Supported by the Minister of Interior and Security of Côte d'Ivoire, SHIELDAFRICA 2019 will be held in Abidjan from 21 to 24 January 2019. This fifth edition will focus on the following theme:

"Secured and regulated Land, Sea and Air Borders conditions for the development of Africa"

• Monday, 21st of January: Plenary Conference dedicated to borders.• From Tuesday 22 (inauguration) to Thursday 24 January: exhibition organised in the Police Academy facilities; it will also include Exhibitor conferences.

Your registration to ShieldAfrica

• Boost your business A range of communication tools will help you to increase the value of your participation in this event.

• Assess the appropriate measures to optimise your presence in ShieldAfrica.

• Estimate your budget using the price list available on page 15.

• Our team of experts will support and advise you in selecting the most appropriate communication and business tools, regarding your goals.

• If you didn’t participate at ShieldAfrica 2017, you shall submit an admission request at www.shieldafrica.com/exhibiting/registeryourcompany.

• If you have already participated at ShieldAfrica 2017 or your company request is accepted by our services, you will receive a login and password, allowing you to submit your registration order online: www.shiel-dafrica.com/exhibitingcompanyspace and to complete stand order.

• You will then automatically receive an acknowledgement of receipt from the organiser with a summary of your order.

• Subject to feasibility of your stand particular features and after we receive General Terms of Rent initialed and signed, we will validate your order and send a payment invoice for 100% of the total amount (Tax included) payable on receipt.

• Upon receiving your payment, the organiser: - will give you access to your progressively developed exhibitor space. Thus, you will be allowed to prepare for the exhibition, to complete your stand order and to optimise your participation, - will provide you with the ShieldAfrica 2019 Exhibitor Manual (available from July 2018),- will suggest you a stand location.

• Stand position will be confirmed only when the total amount of your participation cost is paid.

YOUR STATUS

• Direct exhibitor: you book and occupy a specific space and you may accommodate one or more co-exhibitors from one or more companies (registration required).

• Co-exhibitor: you are “hosted” by a company (Direct exhibitor) to present your products or services at a direct exhibitor space.

NATIONAL VISIBILITY

• In a national pavilion: this area allows you to exhibit together with other companies from the same country.

• Within an organised group: you benefit from the group reputation (chamber of commerce, regional group,

• In the Discovery Village: This area is specifically designed for companies exhibiting for the first time at ShieldAfrica. The Village comprises fully fitted 6sqm modules and is a nice opportunity to discover how you can benefit from an exhibition at a low cost.

This is a potentially strategic service for your company. It shall be managed and followed up by your company staff in charge of high-level visits, starting from October - November 2018.

Each edition of ShieldAfrica, international high-level delegations such as Interior Ministers, Defence Ministers, State Secretaries, Chiefs of Staff, Armament Directors, National Security Directors, Heads of Police and Rescue Departments, Security Managers of large industrial groups are invited by the Ministry of State, Ministry of Interior and Security of Côte d’Ivoire or by the organiser to participate in the exhibition.

The online version of the catalog is used prior to the show by visitors to prepare their visits. It allows them tomake by e-mail appointments requests for exhibitors who have subscribed to this service.

The exhibitors can organise their appointments and make their arrangements for the reception of the most important visitors.

• Whom is the service for? It can be used by all the exhibitors. Visitors who wish to plan their visits may select the companies that they wish to meet before the exhibition starts and therefore to schedule their visits.

Exhibitors who register for this service undertake to respond to the requests made to them. The organiser is not responsible for the content of responses of exhibitors.

• Who may request an Official Delegations visit? All companies which present already working systems and complete solutions.

ShieldAfrica Guests

ShieldAfrica Guests are the Exhibition President's personal guests. High-level experts are selected for their influence in the process of procurement of the equipment. They are considered as key visitors by exhibitors. Most of them are issued from their national Security or Defence forces but also from Security Services of state or private companies.

They are Programme Managers, Flag Officers, Chiefs of "Operations" and/or "Logistics" departments, Heads of Administration, key personnel from Technical test centres or Head Corporate Security & Risk Manager, Chief Security Officers, Security Managers searching for solutions and safety features in the scope of people and property protection.

Equipped with a “Guest” badge, they attend the exhibition in their professional capacity.

The organiser gives them special attention, provides them with working facilities at the exhibition and encourages them to contact exhibitors to arrange meetings.

Take advantage of the professional, qualified visitors attending ShieldAfrica to present your products and your innovations to the audience of your choice. During a 25-minute slot, in a space designed to welcome from 60 to 80 attendees, entirely equipped with a screen, an overhead projector, a microphone and a PA system, exhibitors can promote their company and their products on a topic of their choice.

• Whom is this service for? The “Exhibitor Conferences” service is available to any company that wishes to present a range of products, launch an innovation, or give a speech about a topic of their choice. These conferences are organised in a fully equipped and space inside the exhibition. They are open to all visitors and other exhibitors.
