With a longer wheelbase than its predecessor and by using smart design principles, the Accent’s design team have managed to carve out more interior space than you’d imagine possible.

Unlike other small cars, there’s plenty of shoulder room both front and back, while legroom is just as generous. Both the sedan and hatch offer the versatility of 60:40 split-fold rear seats making it easy to throw in all the gear you need, while the sedan has one of the highest luggage capacities in its class of 465L (VDA Standard).

Adding to the comfort, the four-speed fan control air conditioning system ensures that everyone travels in comfort, so you arrive at your destination feeling totally relaxed.

To help you stay connected to the world, while keeping your eyes on the road, the Accent is equipped with steering wheel mounted controls that let you control the audio system and Bluetooth® functions with your fi ngertips. Bluetooth® technology also lets you use your mobile phone hands-free^ as well as stream music directly from any compatible mobile phone or media device.

The Premium model offers proximity key technology that enables you to lock and unlock your new Accent without taking the keys from your pocket or bag. Similarly, with push button start you can turn on the ignition without having to insert the key. Designed and engineered by Hyundai, the Accent’s petrol and diesel engines deliver on performance and fuel effi ciency.

The all-aluminium Gamma 1.6 litre petrol engine uses the latest in Continuously Variable Valve Timing (CVVT) to deliver the precise air-fuel mixture the engine demands, resulting in maximum power without using too much fuel.

The 1.6 U-II CRDi diesel engine utilises innovative technologies such as a Variable Geometry Turbo (VGT) offering remarkable power, torque and fuel economy.* Paired with either a 6-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, the powertrain combinations deliver outstanding levels of performance and refi nement.

By giving you the choice between petrol and diesel you have the opportunity to choose an engine that best suits your needs.

The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Traction Control System (TCS) senses the loss of wheel grip (such as when skidding) and then applies individual wheel braking, together with engine and transmission adjustments, to help you get the vehicle back on its intended course. Likewise, in slippery conditions or sudden cornering scenarios, the state-of-the art Vehicle's Stability Management (VSM) system helps maintain control of the vehicle by applying counter-steering assistance, guiding you to the correct steering position.

The Accent’s 4-wheel disc brakes (standard across all grades) team with the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) to automatically vary the amount of brakeforce applied to each of the vehicle's brakes depending on road conditions, speed and load.

An onboard computer gives you useful driving information such as journey time and distance to empty. It’s also where you’ll fi nd the ECO Drive indicator helping you drive in a more fuel-effi cient, economical way.

Distinctively styled fog lamps are integrated into the side character line to provide additional illumination in low visibility conditions. (Elite and Premium)

The power window controls include single touch ‘auto-up’ function and a power window lock-out switch. When safety sensors detect an obstacle while the power windows are being operated, they automatically reverse the windows direction.

Large side view mirrors with LED side repeaters enhance safety by providing greater visibility of your intentions when turning or changing lanes.

For parking with safety and ease, a reversing camera that’s built into the vehicle’s rear boot or hatch handle, provides a colour LCD image of the area behind the vehicle that can be viewed in an integrated display within the driver’s rear-view mirror.
