    PURPOSE

    An OHS audit monitors, measures and evaluates an

    organisation's OHS management system and its OHS

    performance. This intensive five-day course provides

    the knowledge, competencies and skills required by

    QSA International for auditing an OHS management

    system.

    Combining hands on case studies with supporting theory

    on due diligence and relevant legislation, this course

    comprehensively covers the audit process and examinescurrent OHS specifications and guidelines from an audit

    perspective.

    Upon successful Completion of this course participantsshould be able to:

    Understand OHS laws, principles, codes ofpractices, and standards;

    Identify OHS hazards that are reasonably expectedto occur for that business type or industry;

    Assess the risk of identified hazards in the contextof the organisations OHS management system;

    Assess the effectiveness of methodologies tocontrol OHS hazards;

    Assess the OHS roles and responsibilities within thecontext of the organisational environment;

    Determine the adequacy and effectiveness of anOHS management system;

    Demonstrate the processes involved with managingaudit programs, initiating an audit, preparing for anaudit, conducting on-site audit activities, reportingon audit findings and conducting post-auditactivities;

    Outline the personal and interpersonal skillsrequired to conduct a management systems
