Violinist Shinichi Suzuki (1898-1998) Flutist Toshio Takahashi

Suzuki philosophy : Every child has talent !Suzuki noticed that all children learn to

speak their mother tongue. His approach to music education is based on similar natural learning principles as used when learning to speak one’s mother tongue.!

Suzuki Music lessons Pupils develop a way of working which helps

them in other studies Pupils learn how to present themselves

Flutist Toshio Takahashi has - in close collaboration with world renown flute pedagogue Marcel Moyse - adapted the Suzuki method for flute.

Course requirements Audition ( Mozart Flute Concerto in D major ) and Interview.Trainees should have a professional music degree on their instrument or show an equivalentstandard of playing.

Exam Candidates will be examined on Performance (exam repertoire) and Teaching with equal weighting.Examination is concluded with a viva voce

Structure of Suzuki Flute Teacher Training !!The Suzuki Flute teacher Training course

follows syllabus and guidelines of the ESA ( European Suzuki Association) and is the only internationally recognised Suzuki Flute Teacher Training course in the Netherlands.In total there are 5 levels.Each level takes 1-2 years to complete. It is not necessary to complete all levels. When all modules of a level are completed the trainee can present for an ESA Exam after consultation with the Teacher Trainer/Course Director.!Course content: !
