If display shows some information take action as follows - MAINS ON/SWITCH ON - Please check internal fuse, change over etc. If everything is ok, Contact no.1912 - MAINS ON/SWITCH OFF/SWITCH OFF ID - 0001 Please call 1912 - 0002 Please go for recharge 0008 - OVERLOAD. After switching off some load, Press O (zero) once. If it occurs frequently visit the sub-divisional office to increase sanction load. F) SOME POINTS TO KNOW THAT THE METER IS DEFECTIVE (CALL 1912) Meter is defective if: i) The display shows SW-OFF ID 0002, EM-CREDIT/NO CREDIT is high (like R - 42537). ii) LED blinks very fast when there is less or no load. iii) Display shows wrong date and time (call 1912). Reasons for rejecting voucher code (call 1912) Rejected and Wrong TAR - A 60 digit or 40 digit code has been missed Duplicate - the code is already entered Incorrect - One digit has been missed or wrongly entered. Please enter correctly/retry BASIC CHECK POINTS FOR PREPAID CONSUMERS 1. Consumers should ensure that the service cable from LT Line coming to their premises directly enters the Prepaid Meter installed. This means that there shall not be any Appliance/ Load between the starting point of Service cable from the LT Line & input of the Prepaid meter. 2. Wherever Prepaid metering is done and new service cable is to be provided, charges towards new Service cable are to be borne by Consumer @ ` 9/meter for which MSPDCL is to provide receipt. 3. In the Prepaid meter, If a Consumer desires to revise the connected load then, The Consumer shall follow the following procedure: Submit an application to the Sub-Division Manager along with consumer details for the connected load which consumer wants to change to. There should be a valid reason for changing the load, whether it is for a bigger load or a smaller load. The Manager’s office will do a field verification. If the requirement is found feasible, thereafter the upper load limit in prepaid meter will be accordingly changed by Manager’s Office. Frequent changes of connected load will not be entertained. 4. If a Consumer has Prepaid meter which is not connected/ lying unused at his/her premises, the same shall be reported to 1912 without fail (1912- Customer Care Centre contact number). Non reporting shall be treated as a deliberate attempt on the part of the Consumer to conceal Government property in his/her premises, which will attract appropriate penal provisions under Indian Penal Code. Alarm can be set using the following code *0000000RRR7#. Replace “RRR” by any figure as per your choice. e.g. If alarm is to be set at ` 258/- press *00000002587# Useful information shown on display The display in normal mode will keep on showing following information in cycle. Date - Time, Switch State, Switch on, Balance amount (1 ` 850)*, Total unit *Balance amount in the meter is ` 850. Other key functions Key 1 - No. of days left to switch off. Key 2 - Today’s, previous day’s, previous week’s, consumption in Rupees. Key 3 - Tariff rate. Key 4 - Last vend code entered. Key 5 - Press 7 (seven) times to know the total amount recharged up-to date. Key 6 - For official use only. Key 7 - Amount consumed in Previous months. credit of ` 200/- and for three phase up to `1000• Meter will not switch off even if the above limit of

credit exceeds between 4 pm and 10 am and also on Sundays and pre-declared holidays.

F) SOME POINTS TO KNOW THAT THE METER IS DEFECTIVE (CALL 1912)Meter is defective if:i) The display shows SW-OFF ID 0002, EM-CREDIT/NO CREDIT is high

The following tips on use of prepayment meters installed in Imphal areas will help in improving the “Secure” made meter related issues which may come up in the course of usage.

A) DOs AND DON’Ts FOR PREPAID CONSUMERS No appliance like MCB, Switches, Changeover etc.

accessible place and height Proper sealing of meter and meter box is a must Once prepaid meter is installed and energized, the

consumer shall visit the vending station and get recharged. For the first time recharge, meter number and copy of post-paid bill or an agreement form is required. First time recharge can be done only in the following four MSPDCL owned Vending stations for Secure Meter consumers located at:

• Keishampat Electricity Complex; (For IED-I, IED-III consumers)

• Lamphel near RIMS Electricity complex opposite Telephone Exchange (For IED-II consumers)

• Kakwa Electricity Office: (Opening Soon) (For IED-III consumers)

• Khuman Lampak Electricity Office: (For IED-IV consumers)

B) PROCEDURE FOR RECHARGEFor the 1st time recharge, the consumer is required to visit the above mentioned MSPDCL owned vending stations for simultaneous registration and recharge to get 3 types of vend codes:

• a 60 digit code • a 40 digit code • a 20 digit code

C) PROCESS FOR ONLINE RECHARGE• Visit www.mspdcl.com • Click ‘Prepaid recharge secure’ • Enter your nine-digit connection number (connection

number is printed on the sixth line of recharge token) • Enter your details and amount of recharge. If sub- division

is not known, please choose any sub-division.• After verifying the details, please proceed to pay.• After successful payment, “generate voucher”

button is to be clicked and get voucher code. • If the voucher generation fails after successful

transaction, it is requested to take a screen shot before leaving the page. This will be helpful in getting the voucher code from the division’s office. The inconvenience will be eliminated soon.

The said codes will be entered in the meter through the Freedom Unit (white coloured display unit) when there is electricity in the meter in the following order First * 60 digit code Second * 40 digit code Third * 20 digit codeWhen * is pressed, display will show “Key Code”. It means it is ready to accept code. After punching the codes and #, the display shows SENDING, ACCEPTED ADDED ` .... and normal cycle of display begins. So you have successfully recharged.
