PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

“What we are is God's gift to us.  What we become is our gift to

God.”

The whole purpose of education is to turn mirrors into

windows and at Bal Bharati Public School, Dwarka the aspiration

has always been to provide comprehensive education keeping in

view the country's rich legacy and cultural milieu.

There are three things extremely hard: steel, diamond, and

to know one's self and this year’s Annual Day is committed to the

cause of celebrating that ‘Self’. Knowledge of the self is the

mother of all knowledge and our exhibition “Celebrating Human

Endeavour”, is a quest in the rediscovery our ethos, our roots. So

it is incumbent on all of us to know ourselves, to know it

completely... and the edification process at Bal Bharati Public

School, Dwarka is garnered to endorse the latent powers in a

child with the help of a well-planned curriculum complemented by

a plethora of activities in sports and creative arts.

Besides academic excellence and intellectual development,

our endeavour is to facilitate each child to discover and develop

one’s innate aptitudes and abilities through a rational and

scientific approach. The school has also made swift strides in

recent years – excellent board results, stupendous performance in

sports at international and national level – which speak volumes

about the dedication of all members of the staff, who not only

shares my vision but also made it theirs.

In the end, the soul-stirring words from our national poet and

a pre-eminent educationist, Rabindranath Tagore, would be best

to summarize the conviction which we have in knowledge striving

for the wholesome development of our fortitude, our self -

“Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high 

Where knowledge is free...

...Where the mind is led forward by thee 

Into ever-widening thought and action

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.”

Tarang – ‘A Celestial Symphony’

“Music is the speech of angels and the embodiment of divine perfection”

The quintessence of Celestial Symphony is conceptualised to

elevate us to an ethereal sphere of spiritual exultation, awakening

our fantasies through the harmonious medium of mellifluous

music. We embrace our rendezvous with the unique rendition of

the Vedic Chants, the expression of spontaneous cascade of

wisdom and consciousness which is assimilated with a ‘Kirtan’

based composition accentuating, through its pious notes, our

divine connection with the all powerful, all pervasive, the

Almighty.

Raga ‘Desh’ captures nature in its verdant abundance; as

the very source of life. Artistically crafted using Sitar, Sarod,

Violin, Flute, Tabla and Pakhwaz, the instrumental composition

renders the contemporary ‘yearning for pulsating pace’ on the

edifice of Raga Hansdhwani, Bhupali and Shyamkalyan. The

effortless amalgamation of Western rhythm with indigenous

manual percussion is bound to transport us all to a delectable

realm of intoxicating harmony! The band of 150 blooming

maestros presents the very soul of India...a majestic Euphoria!

‘Celebrating Who I Am!’A Presentation by the Montessori Wing

“I searched in you, I searched in we, little did I know, true beauty

resides in me!”

The budding tiny-tots of Montessori has crafted a poignant

presentation about the indefatigable quest of an innocent being

for an exquisite and beautiful self and makes an attempt to depict

the sheer vulnerability of our judgment. The play reiterates the

fact that to be content with oneself is the secret to eternal bliss

and unbound joys. To love one is to love the world!

Lets us accompany Coco through his tumultuous and engrossing

search for a ‘Perfect Self’ and share his ecstasy as divine

intervention transforms his fantasies to palpable reality, only to

make him realize the futility of such wish fulfilment.

Rhapsody – ‘Jubilation of Self Belief’:A Primary Presentation

“We are the music makers,

We are the dreamers of dreams.”

Each one of us is unique; each one of us has a star within us.

When God breathed life into us he actually placed a minute part

of Himself in us. We are created in His reflection and infused with

his capabilities, and capacity to accomplish the unattainable.

The ballet underlines the belief in oneself and relying on the

inner voice, silencing other demoralizing and demotivating voices.

Johnny’s triumph over society and his physical shortcomings is

inspiring. We are compelled to admire his assiduous pursuit and

revel in his glory as he courageously confronts all ordeals and

comes out victorious with decisive alacrity and enthusiasm.

The lyrics of this ballet have been composed, and sung by

some of our talented alumni who will eternally remain an integral

part of the BBPS family; along with our present students.

Aagaz – ‘The Clarion Call’:A Presentation by Senior Wing

“Arise, awake and stop not

Till the goal is reached!”

The horizon looks dark, sans any promise, any hope the

society has spiralled down to a cesspool of red-tapism, abject

corruption, despicable nepotism and divide between the rich and

the poor.

The satire brings to fore these societal stigmas of life and

portrays their inescapable effects on the common man. Through

this soul stirring, emphatically powerful enactment, the actors

intend to convey the glaring and harsh reality that it is we who

are to be blamed for all this. We have willingly reduced ourselves

to being puppets in the hands of the leaders.

It is time we brush aside our differences, stand united and

resolve to eradicate and eliminate the minutest trace of such

contemptuous evils. Let’s launch a crusade and surmount this

abhorable vice of corruption and create a heaven on earth

through a cohesive effort.

Ulhaas – ‘An Exultation of the Soul’

“Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard

Are sweeter, therefore, ye soft pipes, play on…”

Dwell on the magic of the voice, upon which our soul

reverberates and resonates; it is Paradise regained and creates

an epiphany within our being music is the celebration in the

heavenly Garden of Eden.

‘Ulhaas - An Exultation of the Soul’ embarks on a melodious

flight where all can revel in the spirit of infectious joy of being

carefree, unbound and liberated. Rejoice in the present and

celebrate the glory of the descending moon which brings forth the

jubilant dawn. Come join us in this voyage and allow ourselves to

be swept away by the magic that pervades in all music...
