welcomeMarigot Bay – Nature’s Hurricane Hole in the Caribbean

Nestled into the rainforest that so beautifully envelops the scenic west coast of Saint Lucia, you’ll find the most enchanting and intimate yachting destination in the Caribbean – the internationally renowned Marina at Marigot Bay.

Marigot Bay is a tropical gem steeped in history and culture. It is one of the few truly authentic local harbours left in the Caribbean. Marigot Bay’s innate beauty and laid back calm belies its colourful past; it was the film location for the original Doctor Dolittle with Rex Harrison in 1967, Fire Power with Sophia Loren and Water with Michael Caine. It was also the scene of the legendary 18th century battle where the English ambushed the French by hiding in the bay.

Today, for yacht owners, captains and crew it’s a boating paradise with deep, calm waters and a tranquility unmatched in the region. The uniquely shaped bay offers a natural ‘hurricane Hole,’ providing hurricane-safe berthing.

Here, you’ll always receive the warmest Saint Lucian welcome from staff and locals alike. We look forward to welcoming you.

Home of the internationally acclaimed Pitons, Saint Lucia boasts an abundance of forested mountains, waterfalls, secret coves and long, lazy sandy beaches. It’s a great destination for rainforest hikes, scuba diving, golfing, jeep safaris and more. There’s much to see and enjoy all through the year.

Marigot Bay is quoted by the novelist James A Michener as ‘the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean’ - and we promise the rest of Saint Lucia will not disappoint.

The month of May signals the start of our famous annual Jazz Festival, seeing locals and visitors swaying together as acts from all over the world fill the air with their jazz, fusion and rhythm and blues. Enjoy more music at the Kalalu World Music Festival and our very own Saint Lucia Carnival too. Each September Saint Lucia plays host to the International Billfish Tournament – a huge event in the Caribbean fishing calendar.

Golf CoursesFast becoming a golfer’s haven, the island boasts a stunning 18-hole course at the Saint Lucia Golf and Country Club in the north and a 9-hole course just 20 minutes from the Marina.

Sport FishingSaint Lucia lies in the migratory path of the blue marlin so our waters are teeming with them along with tuna, wahoo and dorado. We can recommend top sport fishing tour providers or arrange for a local fisherman to accompany you on your vessel to guide you to the optimum fishing adventures.

Dive CentreSaint Lucia is a diver’s paradise and Marigot Bay is the perfect dive base. Explore over 25 dive sites all within easy access. We can organise a dive master to enable you to dive from your own yacht or tender. Full PADI 5 star centre courses available.

The Marina welcomes yacht owners, captains and crew – many of whom come back to visit us annually from all over the world – into a boating paradise distinct for its tranquil, calm waters. Discover sanctuary from your routine stresses and luxuriate in the tranquil atmosphere of our breathtaking bay. Dive into all we have to offer – soak up a romantic sunset, renew yourself with a laze on Labas Beach, discover solace among the mangroves, enjoy the challenges of the complimentary water sports, or drop anchor at some of our lively nightclubs.

Approached through a buoyed entrance channel (160ft wide, from the entrance waypoint at 13 degrees 58.1 minutes North, 61 degrees, 01.8 minutes West), everything about Marigot Bay is invitingly relaxed and informal – a real ‘home from home.’ As nature’s hurricane hole, the unique shape of the natural harbour provides hurricane safe berthing.

Deeper than most other Caribbean marinas with some 700ft (218m) of stern to dock, we are able to accommodate even the largest of premier mega and super yachts. An official port of entry with our own on-site customs and immigration, we can accommodate 40 yachts from 30ft to 250ft LOA with a maximum draft of 20ft / 6m and a maximum beam of 44ft.
