Brother Tim meets Brother Tom at Clergy Night
At Bromley Circle’s Clergy Night
2016 held for the first occasion at
The Chancery, Beckenham with
special guest Rev Fr Gerry Flood (St
Theresa’s Biggin Hill) who was pre-
sented with a bottle of his favourite
drink to celebrate his 85th birthday
and also we celebrated his 60th An-
niversary of his Ordination as a
Priest. Brother President Tim wel-
comed our visitors including eight
Priests and Fr Pat Moloney (retired)
who has been visiting Bromley Circle’s Clergy Night since 1971 he told me! Also the
for the first time we welcomed Patrick Bidder Head of Department from St Thomas
the Apostle College (STAC) Nunhead who was a special guest following the very
successful Speaking Competition held at STAC in February 2016.Over 50 brothers
and their ladies and visitors from other Circles including Dulwich Circle and
Clergy Night at The Chancery
South London Circle
attended this event
which again proves a
very popular for the
Circle. Overall the
evening was successful
although a little hot
for some and also
slightly crowded due
to the high demand
that this event always
attracts. The raffle
raised over £150.00
for Rachael McGow-
an’s Bursary Fund for
her 2016 trip to Gha-
na which demon-
strates Brothers’ out-
standing generosity.

capture the power of
forgiveness because we
are afraid of it, because
we have grown com-
fortable in our familiar
wounds, or because we
are sinfully stubborn.
But the power is there

demonstrates that for-
giveness will unleash
power in your life that
us underrated & often
ignored. It is underrat-
ed because it is
waiting for us. When you
clench your fists, fold your
arms & grit your teeth in anger
or hatred against someone,
you have no room in your
heart for God to place His
hand in yours. Replace your fist
with an open hand & watch as
God fills your soul to overflow-
ing. The lesson is simple.

Fabienne received a Community Award
for voluntary service to LATCH from the
Mayor of Bromley Ian Payne (who is the
Hon President of LATCH this year).
Fabienne has been volunteering at
LATCH for the past year or so and has
been enormously popular and also
brought her expertise to help in the office
administration. I have known Fabienne
over 20 years when we were catechists to-
gether on the Confirmation programme
and also on the Parish Council at St Joseph’s
Church. It is sign of her faith that she is pre-
pared offer her services for LATCH. She is a
good friend and I thank her. Duncan

This is Chris speaking at the Kirkham Cup this year at
the wonderful Civic Hall in Dover
and Provincial Council has posed the
question should Ladies be invited to
attend the Annual Speaking Compe-
tition? (Not to take part (not yet) but
should they be invited to attend as a
social event and support the Vice
President of the Circle who normally
speaks? Ladies do you want to come?
Let me know and let your husband
know so we can take a vote?? There is
one circle in Province considers that
Ladies should be allowed to attend
the Kirkham Cup and I know of at
least 2 Brothers in Bromley Circle
who think like me and vote Yes.

Bromley) celebrating his 48 years of
Ordination on Thursday 16th June 2016
Congratulations to everyone who walked the 10 London Bridges over 8.4 miles on last Sunday. The weather did not dampen their spirits and over £1000 was raised for 2 charities personal to the group. Over £500 went to Billie's Fund. Thank you all! Here are just some of the "drowned rats! Bromley Brothers continue

Fr Rosica, CEO of Canada's Salt & Light Catholic Media Foundation & the attache to the Holy See Press Office at the
Vatican, "Prior to Pope Francis, when many people on the street were asked: 'What is the Catholic Church all about?
What does the Pope stand for?' The response would often be, 'Catholics, well they are against abortion, gay marriage
& birth control. They are known for the sex abuse crisis" said Fr Rosica.
"Today that the response is somewhat different. What do they say about us now? What do they say about the pope?
People speak about our leader who is unafraid to confront the sins and evils that have marred us," he continued. "We
have a Pope who is concerned about the environment, about mercy, compassion & love, and a deep passion, care and
concern for the poor and for displaced peoples roaming the face of this earth," he added. "Pope Francis has won over
a great part of the media."
The pontiff "has changed the image of the church so much that prestigious graduate schools of business and manage-
ment are now using him as a case study in rebranding," the priest added.
