and we will try to keep it that
way!
We were delighted to share
our Outstanding Ofsted judge-
ment with you and will discuss
with Governors the best way
for the school to celebrate this
ongoing achievement. We
would like to do something that involves the whole school
community!
Here’s to another successful
year!
Pauline McMullan
I would like to warmly wel-
come everyone back after the
summer holidays… it’s hard to
believe that we have already
had a month of the new aca-
demic year! This newsletter
will let you know about some
of the activities that have al-
ready taken place!
I would like to say “Hello!” to
all our new families; in the
Nursery, Reception class, LDC
and also the few children who
have joined us throughout the
rest of the school. Please re-
member that if you are
unsure about anything
there are always people
who you can ask:
Other parents
Class teachers or TAs
Office staff
Me!
We are a friendly bunch and
I’m sure that you will soon feel
very much part of our school
community.
During the summer holidays
the school had a bit of a spruce
up through external decora-
tions and internally the hall was
painted. We also bought new
sheds and bins to help keep the
school clean and tidy. Every-
where is looking immaculate
Welcome Back
House Captains & School Council Elections
Teachers chose the following
children as House Captains this
year:
Blickling: Izzy Becket & Evelyn
Turner
Felbrigg: Maksim Rancan &
Emily Pretty
Holkham: Madeleine Allison &
Lucy Read
Sandringham: Cameron Welch
& Jasmine Eleftheriades-Sharif
These children were chosen as
role models for the rest of the
school—they are hardworking,
helpful, polite and friendly.
Children who wanted positions
of responsibility on the School
Council this year had to present
their case at our first hustings.
KS1 and KS2 then voted for the
children who they felt were most
suited to the roles. Here are the
results:
Chair—Isabelle Fitchew
Vice—Sophia Bailey
Secretary—Amy Wiggin
Treasurer—Katie Webster

We have just returned from
the Year 6 residential trip to
Norfolk Lakes, where a great
time was had by all!
Children took part in many
adventurous activities and
really challenged themselves
to overcome fears and im-
prove performance.
Their behaviour was impec-cable and made Miss Robert-
son, Mr Rackham and me
very proud of them.
Please visit our Facebook
page and website to see fur-
ther photos of their adven-
tures!

I would like to take this op-
portunity to remind parents
that children should be in
school uniform every day.
Children should not wear
jewellery (including wrist-
bands) however they can wear
watches or fitbits as long as
these do not distract them
during lesson time.
Children should be clean and
tidy for school and should not
have painted nails.
They will need to have their
Children in the Nursery do
not need to wear school uni-
form but can do so if parents
wish.
Thank you for your coopera-
tion in this matter.

Sal’s Shoes
Amazingly, we managed to
send over 200 pairs of shoes
to this worthwhile charity. A
very kind gentleman, Rob,
transported 12 boxes packed
full of children’s shoes to the
Sal’s Shoes warehouse in
Slough from where the shoes
will be transported to Africa
and other less wealthy coun-tries. The money raised on
our “wear your favourite
shoes to school” day will go
towards transporting the
shoes abroad. Thank you to
everyone for your support!

more than 200
pairs of shoes
for children less
fortunate than
us!”

We all had great fun
on the Low Ropes and
worked together to make sure that we stayed safe!

headache, cold etc. We are
happy to administer
paracetamol (with parental
permission) in such
circumstances.
Last year we met our attend-
ance target of 97% and hope
to maintain this high percent-
age. Ofsted praised the
school for above National
attendance.
Attached to this newsletter is
the annual reminder regarding

consequences of taking family
holidays during term time.

age parents to send children
to school if they are ill, we
would ask you to send them

Welcome back after the summer break and a big hello to all new parents / carers who have joined the Browick family. As a governing board, we were delighted to finally be able to inform you of the findings from the Ofsted visit and are extremely proud that the school retained its Out-

Our Vision
Our Teachers… are creative, engaging and adventurous, offering an excellent curriculum that challenges and
inspires to ensure every child is ACHIEVING. Our Children… learn resilience and are happy, confident and independent learners who thrive on celebrating
their SUCCESS. Our School…is a safe and nurturing environment, where everyone works TOGETHER to role model our core values of
respect, trust and honesty.
Using real tools to make things outdoors.
We have started our Forest
Schools program this term
and the children in Year 3 are
the first to have a go. They
have already really enjoyed
being outside trying lots of
activities that have not
previously been possible.
Mr Rackham has completed
his training and is being assisted by Mr Turner (who is
also taking some super
photographs).
All children from Year 1 to
Year 6 will get the
opportunity to take part in
Forest Schools as part of our
curriculum.
Children in the Nursery and
Reception already spend 50%
of their curriculum time
outdoors which includes some
Forest School type activities.
The aim of forest schools is to
build and enhance self-esteem
through play, exploration and
managed risks in an outdoor
or wooded environment. We
shall be using the school
grounds to complete the child
– driven activities.
Please keep an eye on the
website for regular updates!
