Biography Bruno Esposito is a bilingual executive (English French) with over 25 years of experience within the aerospace industry. He is also an entrepreneur. He held various senior leadership and management consulting positions at small and large international firms, including Airbus Tier1 suppliers. Bruno served as an aerospace policy advisor for senior Government officials and Ministers in several countries. He is a leading authority on Unmanned Aircraft Systems. He has been instrumental in helping to introduce new aviation regulations and securing government investments in R&D activities, higher education and apprenticeship training programs as well as manufacturing capabilities. In 2008, he joined the second largest Aerospace Trade Association in the world, the Society of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC) as Director Civil Air Transport. During his tenure, Bruno led, shaped and created senior industry and Government Boards & Committees. He was responsible for defining and implementing the Civil Air Transport strategy, budget and priorities. His work as a senior Space advisor for the office of the UK Science Minister, led to the creation of the UK Space Agency in 2010. He was also responsible for activities leading to the merger of three UK Trade Organizations into one. Bruno has successfully led international initiatives managing the progression of innovations from ideation through the development of new business. For over 12 years, he has been appointed as an Enabler the intrepid corporate maverick creating new businesses in spite of the corporation for CEOs in need of creating, accelerating and scaling up innovative hightech products and services spanning across the aviation, telecommunications, maritime, oil & gas and defense industry. Bruno has acquired best practices in developing a culture of innovation. He has often proactively delivered winning solutions with revenues in excess of $500m by developing and executing innovative strategies, implementing global partnership and successfully experienced reorganizing under Chapter 11 protection. On several occasions, he has been selected by CEOs and Board members to lead initiatives involving turnaround and acquisition situations. His most recent success was to achieve a doubledigit growth within one year of creating a joint venture between Atkins and Ausy. Together the two companies employ more than 21,100 experts, designers and engineers. They have over 250 offices around the world. Airbus Group reappointed the joint venture as a referenced supplier for engineering services in April 2014. A senior university lecturer for over six years and guest speaker, Bruno chaired a European highlevel joint committee (academia/industry) aimed at creating higher education aerospace programs. Most recently, he was invited to contribute to the Kellogg School of Management Innovation Network (KIN) and the MBA programs on innovation and creation of new ventures. Since 2011, Bruno has been working as an Advisory Board member for WheelTug – an innovative hightech award winning startup, developing electric taxiing for commercial aircraft. To date, installation slots have been driven from zero to 990 single aisle commercial aircraft (A320/B737). These aircraft are operated by 24 airlines. Bruno is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (UK) and a certified pilot and air traffic controller instructor. He has received two awards in 1992 & 1994, from the Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization, Dr. Philippe Rochat, for pilot’s flight achievements over the Atlantic in a single engine aircraft. These flights were conducted as developmental flighttests to improve safety. He has championed the importance of communications and fulltime aircraft tracking using innovative satellite services for over 15 years. Bruno graduated from the Air Force Academy and was recently nominated for the highest aeronautical distinction (Medal of Aeronautics) for “Outstanding contributions to the aeronautical industry”.
