Artist Highlights Artist Highlights
Ethel Gilmour was born in Cleveland, Ohio, though she lived with her family in Charlotte, North Carolina. She studied Arts at Agnes Scott College in Atlanta and had an MA from Pratt Institute in New York. When she arrived in Medellín in 1971, she became professor at the Universidad Nacional. She carried out diverse individual exhibitions in the United States and Colombia, where she lived 36 years as an artist and professor.
