This qualification reflects the role of individuals with significant expertise in either specialised or broad areas of skills and knowledge who are seeking to further develop expertise across a range of business functions. The qualification is suited to the needs of individuals who possess significant theoretical business skills and knowledge that they would like to develop in order to create further educational or employment opportunities.

Mode of StudyClassroom-based and self-directed learning

AssessmentStudents will be assessed through presentations, reports, projects, written assessments, case studies and demonstrations throughout the course.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)A student may be entitled to gain unit of competency credits or recognition, if what they have learned at work, from other programs, courses, from life experience or training provided at work is relevant to the course. Entry Requirements Individuals would need to fulfil the following requirements:• Aged 18 years or above• Successful completion of Year 12 or the equivalent level of

study• Successful completion of SCEI’s Language Literacy and

Numeracy (LLN) Indicator • Mature aged who have diverse academic, work and life

experiences are encouraged to enrol. The definition of a mature aged student for SCEI’s purposes is a person over 21 years of age that hasn’t been studying at either year 12 level or university/TAFE level for at least 7 years and are an Australian or New Zealand citizen (or Australian permanent resident or holder of a permanent Humanitarian Visa).
