The KICSIT
3
Dr. A. Q. Khan Institute of Computer Sciences and Information Technology (KICSIT),
Kahuta was inaugurated in November 2000 by Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, the founder and
then Chairman of KRL.
KICSIT is offering quality education at an affordable cost. Currently, KICSIT is
offering four year degrees in Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences(BSCS)
approved by NCEAC and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering(BSCE)
approved by PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council). Both of these programs are run in
affiliation of UET Taxila.
KICSIT is ideally located in an exclusively peaceful and secure environment. On one hand, it is free from the
maddening crowd of the present-day cities and, on the other hand, it is accessible from the twin cities of Rawalpindi-
Islamabad at an easy drive of about 50 minutes . KICSIT is housed in its own purposefully built fully air conditioned
campus. It has furnished class rooms with audio-visual teaching aids, well equipped computer and electronics labs
and library. KICSIT also operates a book-bank having over 4000 copies of books used as text books for offered
courses. Broad-band internet connectivity is available at all computers of the Institute. KICSIT provides transport to
its students and faculty traveling from twin cities and Kahuta surroundings at a subsidized rate.
In view of its increasing students strength and scope, steps have been taken to facilitate KICSIT. The full-fledged
campus of KICSIT is under construction in the midst of lush green and scenic hills of Kahuta, stretched over an area of
108 kanals. Academic and administration blocks have been constructed at the outskirts of KRL premises on main
Rawalpindi-Kahuta Road. Addition of these blocks will help in KICSIT’s extension and facilitate teaching and extra
curricular activities.
The Institute can rightly boast of having an elite faculty with foreign qualified PhDs and Master degree holders having
decades of practical industrial experience. Another distinguished feature of KICSIT is its discipline which helps the
students to concentrate on their studies and participate in healthy activities alone.
The bottom line approach of KICSIT is, perfection and professionalism.

This institute provides a comprehensive content of study to meet all learning needs and is
enriched with highly qualified faculty members. They treated us like a family; they worked
really hard in acquainting us with technical education right according to the standards of the
market and enabled us to reach our objectives and goals. KICSIT polished the facets of my
personality. Behind the successful carrier, which I have today is the biggest hand of KICSIT.
Henceforth, I highly recommend KICSIT to any individual or organization interested in
expanding their educational training needs especially related to information technology and
modern days needs.

KICSIT Alumni Feedback
After graduating from KICSIT one realizes the true importance of it. I really admire that
KICSIT has dedicated faculty and committed administration due to which many students
including me got chance to participate in national level competitions and won many national
level awards which is a proof of quality education at KICSIT.
KICSIT has given me the confidence and skills essential to survive in the cut throat
competitive world of a corporate. I am currently working as a Software Engineer in Zigron
Pakistan Pvt Ltd and my time and studies at KICSIT has helped me immensely in delivering
what my company expects and demands from me. I feel proud to be a KICSITIAN.
Education in KICSIT is regular and tough without wastage of time. After graduating
from Dr. A.Q Khan Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology I
realized the importance of Information Technology in the market. During my Stay at
KICSIT I realized that KICSIT had a very dedicated faculty, which too helps in one's
grooming in all aspects. I got good concepts in theory subjects and developed great
confidence to face audience through presentations. I am currently at an Internship in
Zong Head Quarters CmPak, Islamabad. I feel proud to be a KICSITIAN...
No place on this earth is good enough to be graded as 100% but the thing that grades an
educational institution is its teachers and the knowledge and ethics they provide to a
student. No doubt KICSIT is well equipped with these facilities and the students
groomed here come out with broader vision and adequate knowledge of their field.
