Week of November 17, 2011
ARIES (Mar. 20 - Apr. 20) Still have something to say? Well this week is the week to say it all. Know that the permission you think you need to offer up your opinion in any situation is the fact that you find yourself in the situation. If the Universe didn’t want your opinion you wouldn’t be there. Speak your mind in a healing way, yet speak you mind.
TAURUS (Apr. 20 - May 21) Put your fears aside and don’t give the reigns to the crazy person in your head. We all have a crazy person in there, so just don’t give it permission to lead the way. Change is scary and things may be different right now, just don’t allow your head to run off and think in worst-case scenarios. Remember to breathe and trust yourself.
GEMINI (May 21 - June 22) Read Taurus above for you are leaning toward the dark thoughts yourself this week and it is very important that you don’t indulge the fears of failure as you move forward. You may need to walk away from people who are being too negative because this is far too important of a time to lose faith in yourself. Tell those voices in your head to shut up and see if you can become your biggest fan.
CANCER (June 22 - July 23) Alone time is the healing balm this week, so see if you can carve it out for yourself. I know you sometimes forget how important alone time is, so this is your reminder. Because of how emotionally absorptive you are, alone time is essential for you to process your life. Take a bath, relax, breathe
and then re-enter your world.
LEO (July 23 - Aug. 23) Big emotions recently may have taken center stage yet now you need to regroup. This regrouping needs to include a reassessment of your priorities. Take pen to paper and make a list of your priorities, making sure you include yourself in the list and then move forward. Sorting out your priorities now will help with every decision from here forward.
VIRGO (Aug. 23 - Sept. 23) Things are moving and changing whether you see the movement or not. The momentum is carrying you if you will allow it. When things slow down take it as a sign that it is time to move slowly, rather than feeling like it is a problem and you need to fix things so they are moving faster again. Honor the flow of the energy and take a break when you have the chance - that is what the slower time is for!
LIBRA (Sept. 23 - Oct. 23) Gather your mental forces and get clear on what you want to say to those around you. It is an ideal time to write anything and also to speak your mind. However, you want to speak with scientific precision if you can, so see if writing things down will help you sort things out. Do your best to say things in a new way, find a different style of approaching a particular person. Failure to communicate is not about content, it is about style.
SCORPIO (Oct. 23 - Nov. 22) This is a magical time for you Scorpio, so open yourself to the synchronicities and smaller moments of wonder. This is also a great time to communicate and engage those around you so everyone can know what has been on
your mind. Don’t be distracted by how things appear to be in any moment because with this magical vibe around things can change in a moment. Feel the magic!
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22 - Dec. 21) It may be a good idea to get everyone else’s voice out of your head so that you can hear what you want to do, what is best for you right now. Value your opinions of your life above everyone else’s and remember to keep your own counsel. You are the only one that knows everything going on so trust yourself and your choices.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 21 - Jan. 20) You will have to let go of some things. Think of it as a fall pruning. Great time to prune out the dead wood from the trees and shrubs around you and a great time to let go of those things in your life that aren’t bearing fruit. It’s seasonal. If things are moving away from you then it is a sure sign they need to go. Letting go can be hard, yet it will allow for greater growth in the coming season.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20 - Feb. 19) Excellent time for renovating and repairing anything which you have let fall to the side. This is true on the very practical side of things and also on the spiritual and psychological side of things as well. See if you can think about a situation differently; see if you can bring a different energy and different mindset to long term difficult situations. This is the perfect time for a new approach and a new way of being, see if it works!
PISCES (Feb. 19 - Mar. 20) All that you believe about how the Universe is set up – all the ways you believe in the best of people, this is the time for you to try these beliefs out. Holding to your beliefs and living from them is the challenge. Don’t live in reaction to how others behave, live from your truth. You can be strong and still live on your terms. Show the rest of us how it’s done.
NOTE: If you were born at the end or beginning of a sign, read the sign before or after your birthday.

The youngster was a virtual orphan by the age of 13, sleeping on a couch in the skating rink where she practiced relentlessly. Her father had left her at an early age, her mother died of cancer, and her coach moved to Canada. A new coach, Galina Zmievskaya, the top-ranked figure-skating coach in Odessa, took her in and the young figure-skater blossomed, winning the world championship in ladies figure skating and defeating Nancy Kerrigan for the Olympic gold the following year at the age of 16, despite being hobbled by an injury.
Injuries plagued her throughout her professional career – she undertook a million-dollar promotional tour two weeks after knee surgery rather than revealing her injury and losing the money.
Baiul later discovered that she was Jewish – her origins had been deliberately hidden -- a fact that comforted her in life after retirement from competition. She still skates and has a role in the stage musical, Cold as Ice. She also makes promotional appearances, has her own line of clothing and jewelry, and lives in New Jersey.

Ingredients (serves 4)4 chicken breasts
10 oz soba noodles1 shallot
2 cloves of garlic1 orange
3 tbsp fresh chopped ginger1/3 c soy sauce
1/2 c vegetables oil1 tbsp miso paste
3 tbsp natural peanut butter2 tbsp curry powder1tsp red chili paste
salt and pepper to taste
MethodFirst to make the marinade, put the
juice from the orange, shallot, garlic, soy sauce, ginger chili paste, miso paste, and vegetable oil in a blender cup and blend on high to a smooth dressing like consistency.
Marinate the chicken breasts in half of the marinade and save the rest. Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil, then add a few pinches of salt the curry powder. Cook the soba noodles in the boiling seasoned water for 6 to 8 minutes. Strain and reserve some of the cooking liquid, then set the pasta to the side while you grill your chicken.
Fire up the foreman grill or the one on your deck and grill the marinated chicken breasts on medium high heat, about 5 minutes each side and brush the breasts with some of the remaining marinade.
Now to make the peanut sauce in a small sauce pan heat 1/3 cup of the left over cooking liquid from the

soba noodles. Whisk in the peanut butter and 1/4 cup of the remaining marinade. Toss the soba noodles in the sauce, slice the chicken breasts, plate and enjoy.

Coming SoonThe Descendants (R) We have
our early Best Actor favorite and he is – ta da— George Clooney, who
turns in a flawless performance as a father forced to consider selling his family land in Hawaii after his wife suffers an accident and lapses into a coma. Written and directed by Alexander Payne, whose Sideways also exhibited his ability to make profound films with a light touch. From the Kaui Hart Hemmings novel, this film is one of the year’s best. Judy Greer, Matthew Lillard and Shailene Woodley are all brilliant in co-starring roles.
New On DVD Crazy Stupid Love (PG-
13) Steve Carell plays a dopey 40-something geek trying to attract women. In other words, the same role he always plays. If you like him, its passable summer fare; if not, pass. Julianne Moore and Ryan Gosling co-star.
Now PlayingJ. Edgar (R) This film officially
marks the beginning of the year-end Oscar push. Clint Eastwood (perennial Oscar nominee) directs a Dustin Lance Black (an Oscar for Milk) screenplay starring Leo DiCaprio, a three-time nominee, in J. Edgar – the longtime FBI director, of course. Advance word is it’s a good one. Naomi Watts and Judi Dench also throw their hats in the Oscar ring.
