In 1925 shareholders Albert Fezer and Gottlieb Stoll foun-ded the company „FESTO“.

In 1927 they produced the first portable chainsaw and in 1930 the first mobile circular saw.

In 1992 „FESTO“ transferred their tools division into „Festo Tooltechnic GmbH & Co. KG“.

ling, it is vital that all processes are well thought through and perfectly organized.

At the end of an exhibition, BTG Plochingen arranges the collection from the exhibition site, the return transport to the logistics warehouse and the subsequent inspection of the exhibits.

The logistics team led by Tobias Meyerhoff and Tanja Kälberer are doing an excellent job: Up to now trade fairs in Switzerland, Poland, France, Great Britain, Colo-gne and Nuremberg were all mastered with great success.

BTG now also certified for Environmental ManagementBTG Internationale Spedition GmbH

The Quality Management Team of BTG Internationale Spedition GmbH and BTG Warehouse Services GmbH was able to smoothly con-vert to the reformed quality standard ISO 9001: 2015.

This transformation of the quality management sys-tem moves away from rigid bureaucracy with its multi-tude of forms and at the same time creates scope to contem-plate the resulting opportuni-ties. In the process, socio-eco-logical aspects come to the fore, allowing these sectors to also be structured through the management system.

The decision to introduce DIN EN ISO 14001: 2015 was therefore quickly made.

Over the past few years, we have already had our management structures ob-jectively reviewed in terms of sustainability and compliance through platforms such as

EcoVadis and NQC and have received positive reviews.

The incorporation of the environmental and quali-ty standards together into an integrated management system (IMS) enables through

its standardized format – the high-level-structure - a straightforward supplemen-tation with further compo-nents, such as compliance, energy, occupational protec-tion and industrial safety, etc.

A large number of measures carried out by BTG to redu-ce environmental pollution and conserve resources have already been visibly imple-mented in old and new buil-dings, in our procedures and in environmentally relevant acquisitions.

For example, five years ago BTG Hamburg moved to an environmentally friendly forwarding facility! The office building was built in passive-house design and the ware-house was built with thermal insulating facade construc-tion including daylight-de-pendent lighting.

The German Sustainable Building Council‘s associated award „DGNB Silver“ was also awarded to BTG Olching’s property in the MULTIPARK Olching, which was com-pleted in 2013.

“ground-breaking” ceremony for a new forwarding facili-ty in Plochingen took place. The facility has a PV-system on the roof of its 5,000 m² warehouse. Since its comple-tion in April 2014, the elec-tricity generated by sunlight more than covers the energy requirements of BTG Plochin-gen and the surplus of alter-native energy is constantly fed into the public grid.

However, the implementa-tion of BTG’s environmental ideas is not only reflected in these new buildings. All other existing properties are also being examined for more effi-cient use of resources.

For instance, in 2017 the warehouses at BTG Neuss and BTG Augsburg were com-pletely equipped with new LED tubes (fluorescent tubes), which are 50% more econo-mical and much brighter than the old ones.

Taking influence on the exhaust gas classification of our trucks and the means and modes of transport we choose, or the implementati-on of environmentally-friend-ly packaging materials, or the avoidance of waste, etc. are all matters of great importance.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our employees and in ad-dition to the ISO 9001: 2015 quality certificate, we can now also proudly present the environmental certificate ISO 14001: 2015!

BTG Olching - Major Project for Moscow / Russia

From now on, the new „Silk Road“ starts and ends in Neuss!

In early August 2017 BTG Olching began a new pro-ject in Moscow, Russia, stocking a warehouse there for a renowned German au-tomobile company.

Within the period between early August and mid-Septem-ber 2017 - and in addition to

For our customers, transports to and from China by rail are a welcome alternative in com-parison to the high-priced air freight and the time-con-suming sea freight options. Through our Chinese partner

their normal daily workload - our dispatchers coordinated 188 full loads (with a peak of up to 10 vehicles a day) with high-quality spare parts for the automobile industry.

This major project was completed within 6 weeks without any problems and to

the fullest satisfaction of our client.
