    Purpose To check the handling of radio calls on each TRE in the BTS.

    N O T I C EFor th is test, th e BSS must be connected to the MSC.

    Procedu re

    1. Identify the signall ing using the BTS Terminal

    A. Show Logical Configurations Radiochannel configuration

    B. In the CCL, note the radio channels (B and S) assigned assign allin g links (identify B, S in the repo rt wind ow ).

    B = ( FCCH + SCH + BCCH + CCCH + SDCCH/4 + SACCH/4 ) S = ( SDCCH/ 8 + SACCH/8 )

    C. Check that the other time slots are assigned to trafficchannels (TCH).

    2. Call th e OMC-R to get the LAC and CI values

    3. Unlock the cel l (s) under test

    A. At the BTS_TE, unlock the cell(s) :

    Init BTS_TEL of each sector.4. Set up the trace mob i le

    A. Insert the SIM card in the Alcatel mobile.

    B. Power up the mo bile.

    5. Start the mobi le trace funct ion

    6. Act ivate the trace funct ion (Refer to the relevant MDTdocument)

    7. Check the handling of radio calls on the time slots ofeach TRE

    A. M ake ra dio calls on a Timeslot (TCH ) of each FU.

    B. M ake one incom ing call on each BTS from a fixed station(have someone call you).

    C. Ch eck speech q ua lity in b oth dir ection s (sub jectively).

    D. M ake one outgoing call on each FU to a fixed station.

    E. Ch eck speech q ua lity in b oth dir ection s (sub jectively).
