Bucharest

Bucharest is wonderful. It is placed in the south-east of the country.

As you can see in the photo, it is situated in a plain area, the highest altitude here is of 90 meters high.

The total urban surface is of 285 km2 with a density of 8,260/km2. It is the biggest city in Romania.

Car plates are signed with B (from Bucharest, of course).

The Dambovita River crosses Bucharest, offering a beautiful view.

The climate is continental-temperate, with hot summers and mild winters (snow falls only in January, sometimes in February).

The city is situated in the historical region called Muntenia. The other ones are Oltenia, Banat, Crisana, Maramures, Bucovina, Transylvania, Moldova and Dobrogea.
