startup do?
Buddy4study is a Centralized Financial Support System connecting Students who need financial support to study to Organizations who are providing scholarships in effective and transparent manner.
Problem: 82% students dropped out after class 12 board with primary reason of expensive and unaffordable College education.
There are more than 1700 scholarships supporting students however they receive less applications resulting un-utilized scholarship fund. (Stats re provided in slide 7)
Buddy4study is launched in 2011 and now it becomes India’s largest scholarship information portal. (www.buddy4study.com)
Mission: Connecting students with relevant scholarships and scholarships with eligible students.Operation: Buddy4study platform aggregates all scholarship details, segregates them as
per Gender, Class, State, Talent, Need etc parameters and then disseminate them to society through website, book, SMS, Email, Newspapers, etc channels.
Buddy4study :-
1. Website serves a repository of all scholarships (1000+ scholarship listed)2. Promotes timely notifications for new/current scholarships through Website, SMSes, Email
alerts.3. Assist students in their application part to compensate their non internet literacy issues
through guidelines & partnerships with foundations and educational institutes in very friendly and transparent way.
We are making scholarship Discovery and Application process efficient and effective. Buddy4study has connected with 78000 students and parent across India and helped
1200 students to apply for scholarships, out of which 700 students received scholarship worth more than 50 lakh Rupees.

He is a regular columnist in many national newspapers and has been in the scholarships domain since 2010. An engineer and MBA, his mission is to create awareness for scholarships among Indian students by developing innovative channels through his entrepreneurial venture Buddy4study.com. Prior to embarking on this unique mission, Ashutosh was working as a Marine Engineer at British Petroleum. He is now Founder & Director of Smiling Star Advisory Pvt Ltd, which operates the portal Buddy4study.com.
He belongs from a remote town of Jharkhand and experienced few gaps during his school days. These gaps inspired him to start Buddy4study portal with only vision to provide all opportunity awareness and mentorship easily available to all Indian students.

He is the Co-Founder & CTO of Buddy4study.com. He did his Computer Engineering from JSS Noida. He has 7+ years professional experience in website development & technology. Rajkishor is the technical geek of our team. He performs and shares the learning with other team members. He is a hard working, self-motivated and quick learner, who also is a wonderful mentor and motivator for many Trainee Engineers in our startup journey. startup transforming India?
Students today suffer because of ignorance of hundreds of scholarship opportunities. Resulting, they do not apply for them resulting low number of applications and unutilized scholarship fund of hundreds of crores. Those who somehow try to go one step ahead faces problems in filling their application forms due to internet illiteracy or language problems.
Statistics: • 2000 applications for 4,237 seats for CSS Scholarships (Karnataka, Indian Express,
2013)• 400 applications for 5,000 seats for J&K Special Scholarship (Governance-now, 2014)• Rs 176.83 crore fund unutilized. (Post-metric Scholarship 2008-12, CAG Report, 2013)• More than 90% students do not look for scholarship opportunities.• Every year thousands of scholarship applications disqualify due to minor application
mistakes and errorsBuddy4study is revolutionizing the way, Scholarship world works in India. We help

Buddy4study provides standardized process and diminishing the barriers of entry in setting up new scholarships. It can help Corporates, Foundations or even an Individual to start scholarship scheme and get relevant applications from eligible students.
Buddy4study Results:- We helped more than 700 students receive scholarship/ sponsorship of worth rupees more than 52 lakhs
and they all are studying happily in colleges. It is just a beginning. We are targeting every single student, foundation, corporate and Institutes out there
who will love to be a part of a beautiful future and want to help students or empower themselves. In the past 30 months, Buddy4study without even having implementing any marketing strategy has grown

startup transforming India?
By 2020, with induction of new colleges & government higher education policies, there is an estimate of 30% GER, i.e. 40 million students enrolled in higher education, this new evolving system will generate a demand for 96000 Crore worth of scholarship, 30-40 times more than what is currently available. With Buddy4study tools and network in place, scholarship providers can increase their reach to relevant students and decrease their promotional and operational cost with increased transparency and accountability.
