Building Group Harmony programs are based on the underpinning foundation that by developing connection to self, self-care and self-responsibility

we are in fact working towards the harmony of the whole Group Harmony Programs for Early Childcare Centres integrate the ‘Early Years Learning Framework’ (EYLF) and ‘True Parenting’ principles with ‘Yoga For Connection’ and the teachings of the ‘Ageless Wisdom’ into a unique and effective support for teachers and parents. Our aim is to work together to support teachers and parents to raise responsible people with a solid sense of self and community spirit, who know that they are enough for simply being themselves. When children grow up with a strong sense of who they are then they are naturally vital and joyous and are able to contribute effortlessly to the world around them.

Teachers, alongside parents wield the greatest influence on young children and with that comes the greatest responsibility. They are precious and hold the future of many in their

hands. They deserve the utmost respect, care and support.

We are whole-heartedly dedicated to supporting teachers, parents and children. We recognize, appreciate and celebrate the importance of our teachers and parents and the power and position they hold in the building of strong foundations within the little people in their care. We understand how these foundational years affect the quality of our children’s lives as they grow and how that affects what they are able to bring to the world.

From this passion the Building Group Harmony programs were born We are designed to support our revered teachers and parents, both as individuals and groups, to become more connected to self, appreciative of each other and able to work more harmoniously together. The added value of building group harmony amongst teachers and parents is that it then naturally flows onto our broader communities, thus upholding the Council of Australian Governments’ vision that:

And dare we add - for humanity at large

The purpose of ‘Group Harmony’ presentations is to build awareness around the way we are within groups and to provide tools that support each member of the

group to take equal responsibility for their part within the group

It is by each of us taking responsibility for our part within the group that the group is then able to come to a place of true harmony

“All children have the best start in life to create a better future for themselves and for the nation.”

GROUP HARMONY PROGRAMS DELIVERY SCHEDULE i. BUILDING GROUP HARMONY – AN OVERVIEW

Before we can teach anything to another we must first live that which we wish to impart, we must ‘walk the talk’. Therefore in order for teachers to fulfill their role in delivering the 5 EYLF outcomes to children they must first embody them. Our Building Group Harmony Overview presentation supports teachers to consider connection, equality, purpose, commitment, responsibility and care (for self and others) as the foundation for developing harmony within themselves and their teams. Today teachers are under a lot of pressure, they experience stress and overwhelm and with this there is an increasing feeling of giving up or lack of true commitment to teaching, resulting in dissention and disharmony amongst teaching professionals. Raising team unity, dedication and harmony largely depends upon teachers feeling vital and connected with themselves, their roles, their peers and their purpose. When teachers can deeply connect to and communicate with themselves, others and their purpose, when they truly self-care, have a strong sense of self-worth, wellbeing, equality and confidence, they are in turn able to truly care for another. Then they can deliver the greatest gift of all to the children in their care – that being a true reflection of who they innately are. Teacher wellbeing ultimately enables the 5 Principal EYLF Outcomes to be imparted to children in their care:

• Children will have a strong sense of identity • Children will be connected with and contribute to their world • Children will have a strong sense of wellbeing • Children will be confident and involved learners • Children will be effective communicators

And if we may add - children will continue to grow knowing, loving, honouring

and caring for themselves as the glorious beings they naturally are

"A teacher must be CELEBRATED and HONOURED in everything they are and in everything they bring, EACH AND EVERY DAY!

Equal to this, they must be given ALL the tools of how to do this for THEMSELVES,

that is, to truly celebrate and honour all that they are and all that they bring to our lives"

TRUE YOGA IS THE RE-CONNECTION BACK TO WHO WE ALREADY ARE

CONNECTION We include Yoga and Meditation elements in all of our Group Harmony programs and support services as we consider ‘connection’ and ‘wellbeing’ absolutely fundamental for simultaneously supporting all aspects of teaching and parenting as well as for building successful, harmonious groups, teams and families. Connection supports all areas of teaching, but especially the ‘Being’ aspect of EYLF, which claims that; “The early childhood years are not solely preparation for the future but also about the present”. It suggests that when children have space to be, they can connect to who they are, make sense of the world and their place within it. In order to deliver this most imperative objective teachers must learn to be present first.

Children are naturally connected to their bodies, they feel their world through their senses and are in tune with their surroundings When a child is connected to their self they share an inherent sense of belonging to the world and know they are enough just being themselves. They do not need to become anything other than who they already are. What they do need is to be supported to stay connected, so they can develop and embrace their natural expression. It is only through our connection to ourselves that we are able to support a child to stay connected to who they are. We therefore view Yoga For Connection as an integral part of our programs for teachers and parents alike.

Yoga, in its truest form is the re-connection back to ourselves, using the

body as a means to re-connect. It is a way for adults to become the all-knowing

children that they used to be

Jeannette and Alexis also offer Individual and Group Yoga Classes, True Parenting Presentations and Groups, Individual and Family Counselling, Parenting and Behaviour Management sessions in clinic, in-your-home, online and by telephone to further support parents and teachers explore anything that arises within the larger group sessions that needs to be further developed or privately addressed …

3. TRUE PARENTING GROUPS AND PRESENTATIONS

True Parenting Groups and Presentations are open to anyone interested in developing a deeper more honest, connected, self-loving and nurturing relationship with themselves, their children, their families and life. They are facilitated by Jeannette Singer-Goldberg (Grad Dip Counselling, Triple P-Group 4), are a valuable resource for anyone involved with children and a great support for families in Early Childcare Centres engaging in Building Group Harmony programs for their teachers.

I have always been interested in children, parenting, humanity and science. I was raised by a kindergarten owner / teacher and spent my childhood alongside my mother ‘learning the ropes’. I have a combined experience of over 30 years as a mother, nanny and birth doula, of offering postnatal and parenting support, behavior management, individual and family counselling, life and wellness coaching. My ‘True Parenting’ programs developed organically as an offering based on my combined interests in children and families, the neuroscience of connection, psyo-social biology, positive parenting, humanity and the teachings of the Ageless Wisdom. They are a unique and universally applicable approach that transcends our ideal parenting beliefs and expectations.

Essentially ‘True Parenting’ supports you as a person first, so that your parenting may be guided from an inner knowing of how to raise, discipline and engage with each child as an individual

Raising children can be challenging because babies don't come with a 'How to Operate' manual … and that is because no two are the same - every child is a precious individual with their own personality, purpose and lessons to learn. It is therefore very unsupportive and can cause a great deal of resistance, struggle and angst, to everybody’s detriment, if we seek to impose our ideal parenting beliefs and expectations upon our children. To raise healthy, well-balanced responsible people parents and caregivers must learn to connect deeply with themselves, then with their children and feel what is needed to truly support each child in each situation. The True Parenting presentations are outlined below. For more information and bookings please contact Jeannette:

The way we parent our children, influences the way they will parent their children and how they then parent their children and so on … it therefore affects the world on a grander scale

iii) DEVELOPING A HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP WITH FOOD

Delivery: 1.5 hours Cost: $25.00

This is an inspiring, interactive presentation, with plenty of space for Q & A’s, exploring

how to develop a healthier, more conscious and self-loving relationship with food. It is

based on the learning how to eat in accord with our natural rhythms and the intelliegence

of our bodies. It is supportive for individuals of all ages and for parents who are

responsible for teaching their children how to eat to sustain optimum physical, mental

and emotional health.

Developing a Healthy Relationship with Food will:

o Explore the reasons behind how, why, what and when we choose to eat and how

these choices truly affect us

o Unravel some of the ideals, beliefs and myths around diets and body image

o Look at weight management from a new perspective, exploring how loosing weight

is directly related to connecting with ourselves, how “when you start connecting

within first, then changes on the outside naturally begin to take place” - Ariana Ray

o Present the ‘STOP, CONNECT, FEEL’ approach which helps deepen both body

and self-awareness. This method defines the meaning of conscious eating and

weight management as firstly connecting with ourselves, feeling what our bodies

need and then honoring the messages from our bodies regarding our food choices,

thus elevating it to a whole new level of self-empowerment and efficacy.

Delivery: 1.5 hours

Cost: $25.00 / person

Having worked as part of a team within the care industry for the last 30 years, Alexis Stewart has an in depth understanding of human behaviour and team dynamics. Alexis has extensive experience in working with severe challenging behaviours, the intellectually disabled and mental health.

She has also been teaching yoga in Sydney for the last 16 years. and can truly say that teaching yoga is something that I love and also feel very passionate about. I began practicing yoga as a form of exercise; at the time I felt quite stressed and uptight and thought that yoga was a good way to deal with those feelings. After many years of practicing yoga in this way, I realised that the underlying causes of my stress were never actually being addressed and therefore how I was practicing yoga, was actually harming me, more than it was helping me. Around the same time I also came to feel the significant damage that I had done to my body by exercising in such a strenuous way. It was from this point on that I very slowly began to really explore what yoga truly is. Over many, many years I have come to understand from my body that yoga is simply the re-connection of ourselves back to who we are, using our bodies as the means through which to re-connect. We live in a world that seems to bombard us with distractions, people commonly feel ‘under the pump’ a lot of the time. Not only does this way of living put a huge stress on the body but it is actually not the way that life was intended to be lived. What I have come to experience through the practice of yoga is that we do have a choice as to how we live our lives and that by re-connecting back to our bodies we are able to make choices based on how we feel rather than how we think. It is by shifting where we make our choices from, that we are able to transform every facet of our lives. I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there is a completely different way to live life, one that is incredibly joyful, very easy and with enough space to do everything that we want to do. There is nothing that I want to do more than to share my passion for true yoga with others. Yoga taught from truth is for every-body. I have taught yoga to people in wheelchairs and to people with terminal illness, as well as to those who are very physically fit. Classes can be taught 1:1 or to groups, they can also be ongoing or simply be a single stand-alone session. JEANNETTE SINGER-GOLDBERG Grad.Dip Counselling, Triple P (Group 4), Cert Birth and Postnatal Doula Cert, INDIVIDUAL & FAMILY COUNSELLING, BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT & PARENTING SUPPORT

My counseling approach is founded on over 30 years of study and work with individuals, families and children including over 30 years as a mother, designer, project consultant, independent school developer, and nanny as well as offering postnatal and parenting and behavior management support, individual and family counselling, and life & wellness coaching. However, in my opinion my greatest and most profoundly valuable credential is the wisdom gained through my life experiences – via the many mountains I have scaled and rivers I’ve crossed to find my way back to my inner-self, truth and joy.

FROM MY EXPERIENCE I KNOW CHANGE IS POSSIBLE I KNOW LIVING A MORE FULLFILLING & JOYFUL LIFE IS TOO

I am now loving myself and my life offering counselling and coaching services from my Castle Hill and Balmain clinics, in homes around Sydney, by telephone and online nationally as well as facilitating a range of groups for parents, teachers and women.

“My approach is fundamentally about developing awareness around, and changing, the way we communicate with, relate to and care for ourselves, our families and others. It's about nominating what is acceptable behaviour, and what is not, naming what is love and what is abuse, then fostering self-esteem and embracing healthier boundaries, attitudes, behaviours, patterns, relationships and choices. It's about healing our hurts and deepening our connection with ourselves and others, developing self-love and reclaiming our natural expression” Whether working with individuals, families, adults, children or professional groups my sessions are based upon a premise of ‘connection’. From a foundation of connection with self and with each other all then intuitively unfolds … self-awareness is fostered, the ‘light at the end of the tunnel’ can be realised and the path forward initiated.
