Spanish Fitness Media began with the distribution of the MD Latino Magazine throughout the LatAm territories. In just five years, we have grown to become LatAm’s premier body building & fitness platform.

Today, in addition to millions of print readers, MDL has an owned & operated network of 11 websites (by country) and a popular video channel. MDL also supports a vibrant social community and brings our followers to virtually all the major bodybuilding events throughout LatAm via live video streams.

Print Rates & Deadlines

MDL is published bi-monthly (6 times/year). The total paid circulation is 80,000 per edition. The average readers per copy is estimated at 20+. Total readership per edition is approximately 1.6 million.

Print Sizes & SpecsMaterials: One piece positive per color (right reading, emulsion down), 2 progressive proofs, matchprints or cromalins. Maximum coverage in any area: 260% with no more than one solid. Maximum screen density for any one color: 85%. A required value over 85% should be made solid. Screen: 133-line. FULL PAGE BLACK AND WHITE or 2 COLOR ADS: One piece positive (right reading, emulsion down) velox proof. Maximum coverage in any area: 170% with no more than one solid. Maximum screen density for any color: 85%. A required value over 85%.

Digital Disk: All ads must be submitted on a Macintosh-formatted disk on a CD or emailed to: [email protected]. All color ads must be converted to CMYK format and the resolution must be 300 DPI. Tiff or EPS files are accepted. Any files that have to be converted at the printer will be billed to the advertiser. Please list all programs used to create the ad on a delivery notice attached to the disk or in the file itself. All screen and printer fonts must be supplied. All 4 color ads must be accompanied by an Iris digital color proof. If no color proof is supplied, there will be no guarantee of quality on press. Therefore, the printer will generate its own Iris proof, the cost of which will be billed to the advertiser. All B/W ads should have a laser print proof. If any ad files require extra formatting or correcting, changes will be billed to the advertiser.

Advertising Policies

General Terms & Guidelines:1. Ads must be submitted by stated deadlines to allow for appropriate evaluation and placement. 2. Advertising rates are subject to change without notice. Advertisers and advertising agencies are jointly responsible for payment of all insertions. Any revisions or special handling will be subject to additional costs to the advertiser. 3. Cancellations are not accepted and copy corrections are not guaranteed after closing date. Requested positions are not guaranteed unless stated as a paid preferred position at a ten percent (10%) premium. 4. Billing, with approved credit: net terms 30 days from invoice. All accounts over 45 days are subject to a 1.5% finance charge per month. 5. Advertisers and advertising agencies assume responsibility and will indemnify and defend publisher against any claims arising from their ads that are made against the publisher. 6. MDL reserves the right to refuse without explanation any ads it deems unacceptable. Supplement Advertisers:1. Advertisements must adhere to all FTC advertising guidelines and regulations. This includes supplement products and product labels.2. Supplement products that have been randomly tested by an independent laboratory must contain 90 percent or more of labeled contents and values. Expiration dates and lot numbers of supplements must be clearly noted.3. Advertised products must comply with their respective industry safe standards. Appropriate warning labels should be prominently displayed. If no formal standards exist, Muscular Development will exercise judgment regarding product safety.4. Advertisers must be prepared to handle customer complaints related to their ads satisfactorily and within a reasonable time period. We suggest 90 days.5. No comparison ads will be accepted for publication.
