Building Online Donation Forms Leveraging MyBernard and
SWIFT Capture
About SWIFT Capture
SWIFT Capture is an online Content Management System (CMS) which allows users to create online
donation, event, and order forms tied to specific appeals. These online forms are integrated with
MyBernard, allowing users to tie each form to a specific appeal for perfect tracking of campaign results
in real-time.
You can direct potential donors to your SWIFT Capture forms from your website, online ads, social
media, or email campaigns. When you create email appeals in MyBernard, you can use MailChimp email
templates for your message and include links to the donation page you build with SWIFT Capture.

Create a Donation Form Using SWIFT Capture
Creating online donation forms is easy and intuitive in SWIFT Capture. You identify the name of your
form, select the layout and background image, and then choose the confirmation message as well as the
Appeal Code.
Note: It is just as easy to create an event registration and ecommerce form.
Track Donation Form Statistics
There are a couple of different ways to track the success of your donation forms.
MyBernard
You can quickly access statistics about your donation pages on the URL Click Stats tab of the View All
Email Jobs page in MyBernard.

The information available includes total and unique clicks as well as the time and date of the first and
last click on the URL used with your email. You can also find this information on the Pulls Tab of an
Appeal record for the finalized pulls.
Donation page statistics can also be in queries to identify records
based on the information you define. In this example, you create a
contacts query, select the Link clicked from Appeal criteria, and
then enter the appeal ID as well as the link to the donation form
used in your appeal. You can also select a start and end date to
include records for a specific timeframe.
Google Analytics
While MyBernard provides click details for your donation form, Google Analytics gives you additional
information to help determine the success of your form.
This information gives you details about the conversion rate, number of transactions, total revenue, and
unique purchases for a specific timeframe. You can also identify the conversion rates for specific age
groups.

Frequently Asked Questions
The following table identifies the most frequently asked questions about building online donation forms
leveraging MyBernard and SWIFT Capture.
Question Answer
How do I get started with SWIFT Capture? Please contact [email protected] for
pricing and to get started today.
Is an appeal code required for donation forms?
Yes all forms must have an appeal code. If an
appeal code is not selected, appeal code will
automatically go the default appeal.
How do we access the donation form statistics in Google Analytics?
On the Conversions tab, click the ecommerce
tab to view this information.
How do we add our Google Analytics code to the landing pages so we can track form success?
CDR Fundraising Group will add the code to your
SWIFT forms so you can track the statistics.
How does this work for building many
different forms using SWIFT Capture?
You can use templates for testing to determine
the best ways for building your forms. Once you
have a template you can reuse them as needed
for your forms. You make copies of the template
so you aren't creating it from scratch each time.
You can also use the forms with different appeal
codes so you can track the success of different
appeals.
If a recipient forwards an email, their information is auto-filled in the fields on the form. Is there a way to fix this?
When an email with source codes is forwarded
to another recipient, their information will
display in the fields on the form. This is normal
for forms that use auto-fill. We recommend that
you add a caveat to your email that states “your
information will display in the form fields if you
forward this email to other recipients.”
