established through a city-university collaboration involving the secure ongoincollection of linked but de-identified data to augment routinely collected dataCity. (eg ABS data, power usage, Medicare etc. and, with further consent from the City and cothe collection of agreed additional data to measure quality of life, economic benefits, knowledand behaviours etc.)

A collaborative city-community-University oversight committee would operatcustodians to identify and receive research ideas/issues that would be in the the City to explore utilising Deakin expertise, and facilitate external funding bbuild on the cohort base.

A research platform of this magnitude, depth and complexity would ckey elements of the political, social, economic, environmental and biosystems of a regional community.

Researchers would be brought together from across Deakin to workcollaboratively on a systems approach to understanding and solving rproblems.

This would create world leading integrated research opportunities, deunprecedented systems research approaches, and guarantee the tranresearch findings into policy and practice.
